Q: Is that glass on them doors or some other material?
A: Its glass but it also comes with wood blanks if you dont want the glass
A: Yes, you can leave the bottom piece off, however.. you will need to take the little feet off the bottom of the 4 legs and screw into the holes where the support bar should go. This gives you the chance to level it. It looks great in our room that way.
