A: You can connect a harddrive but it will time and time again disconnect and kick you out of your game. I ended up not using the ports and connecting my harddrive to the back of the xbox.

Sturdy and Easy to set up
Bought this to move my Xbox One X behind my TV, as I recently purchased an LG OLED, and the TV sits pretty low on the stand. Didn't want the Xbox fan exhaust blowing hot air onto the screen. So now it's tucked behind, and seems to actually run cooler, not sure how but I'm not complaining. The included One X adapter plate fits snugly, as does the One X itself. It has a USB 3.0 and 2.0 Y-cable you plug into the back of the Xbox, to power the USB ports on the stand. I read a few reviews saying it doesn't power hard drives, and that's not true. Currently have a Samsung SSD, and a WD Passport Ultra plugged into the stand ports, and it powers them both without issue. The only downside, if you have the Insignia side dock charging station, for the One X, you can't use it, as the way the console sits on the stand, that USB port is on the bottom (see picture), so you have no way to plug the charging station into it. My current solution is to plug the station into a wall brick, which is wonky but it works for now!

It works great for my One X.
Sturdy, extra ports are nice, and it works how you’d expect it. I stood it up on a shelf next to the tv and put a picture on the face of the Xbox. Can’t really notice it.

Nice console stand
At first pondered if this was a good purchase. It has two usb connectors on the back which, for best effectiveness, you plug both into the back of your console. That only leaves the one on the front. Thankfully the stand itself has four usb ports on the front. So, even though had to connect the hdd i use to the console and not he stand still not hurting for connections for peripherals. Now that have acclimated to it would definitely recommend. Would've been 5 stars if i could have connected the hdd to the stand and not the console directly.
