Q: Would this pump be the best option for our Bestway 20X48 above ground pool?
A: I have a 12x 22 and that's the pump that came with the pool. And I would have to say no!!! I wouldn't go with anything less than a 3000gph. I feel like above ground pools are set up to fail. If you ever seen a pump that belongs to an inground pool you would understand. My mother has an inground pool that's the same size as my above ground and the pump is 20 times the size
A: U can use what u want but its going to run 4 ever spend the money get 4500gph which is what u should have used. Cut electric bill 90%. All pools come with small pumps . Thats a sand filter. Get a saltwater and no chemicals except a floating chol. Tab. My chem bill use to be 300 a month plus filter carts. And elec. Spent 500 and now costs me around 20 a month to maintain.
