This has gone on deal of the day a few times and you are definitely getting a lot for your money when it goes on sale. At full price its still a great speaker I just don't personally have that kind of money to throw at a garage/work speaker, so thank goodness for the sales! I've been using this for fall cleanup raking and yardwork, framing a shed, tinkering around in the garage, riding shotgun in my golf cart, etc. It has good sound and enough volume and sound quality to make me happy. It will not blow you away or fill up a whole gymnasium with sound but for what I do I have very few opportunities to turn it up even more than half way at most. The bass boost is nice, it gives more depth when listening at medium and low levels. If you are going for max volume to fill up some big space you might need to turn bass boost off to avoid distortion. The controls are simple and easy to use even with gloves on. Simple display tells you everything you need to know. Battery seems to last forever. Even the cringy tools organizer part can be begrudgingly handy sometimes. I know, its borderline embarrassing to even think of entertaining their "hey we put a tool organizer on your boombox" thing... but I have to admit, it IS actually nice to have a spot to stick some spare torx bits and I was actually able to sort my cup of loose drill bits back into the proper spots in their case with the drill bit sizing holes. Its gimmicky, sure, but someone really did put a little thought into it. The orange and black is a dead ringer match to my huge collection of black and decker tools, so thats fun. I really like that I can get caught working in light rain and not really worry about the unit being damaged. Overall very pleased, if you are surfing these reviews because its on good sale again and you are teetering on the edge I would say go for it. I'm glad I did.

The ION Garage Rocker is a good overall speaker. The sound is good and the extra bass button really adds some thump to your music. Connects easily with Bluetooth and the NFC option makes this even quicker. The battery lasts about 2 to 3 days, this is with me playing at a loud volume for 10 hours a day at my shop. Would definitely recommend!

I bought this on deal of the day for 70$. the original price is 200$. I dont think it is worth 200$. the most I personally would pay for this is maybe 100$. i think they tried to mark it up because they are advertising it as man's speaker that he can use in the garage and has the magnets for tools. now that isnt to say it is a good speaker.it does become a little distorted at higher volumes, but if you are using it in your garage or driveway while doing a project I doubt you would have it up that loud anyways. I use it in my ups truck , as it has been hard to find a speaker loud enough to hear on the highway and also with a battery that will last through my day. this has accomplished both those feats. yesterday I worked ~10 hrs and the speaker was showing half battery life.( the battery level indicator has 4 squares in a battery icon, and when i clocked out it still had 2 squares left.) i did not have it at full volume once throughout the day, Id say maybe 70/75% max at any given point. i did not use the bass boost, as when i tested it indoors I had the speaker up pretty loud and the bass boost made it sound terrible. might sound better on lower volumes. the bluetooth connected fine and worked fine while I was near the speaker, but I couldn't walk into the other room of my house (which is a small 900 sq ft house) or even walk a delivery maybe 20 ft away without the connection getting messed up. so the bluetooth isnt the greatest, but again, if you're in your garage how far away are you really going? or cant you just set your phone down since you will be doing a project? this of course is just going to depend on the person. it comes with a 3.5 mm to 3.5mm to use with the aux input, and also has a usb input. those 2 plus the 110 charging input on the back have sturdy , thick rubber covers. I drive through a lot of dirt roads and didnt seem to get a speck through the rubber covers.(i did not obviously have anything plugged in) it is also water proof rated, dont remember the specific rating, and has handles on either side (which are great) and of course the magnetic sides and top to hold tools. overlal, was what i needed and for the 70$ price It is worth it to me, but again I wouldnt spend more than maybe 100$ on it
