The most important thing to me personally is how the grip is a bit wide compared to normal kettlebell or competition kettlebell which makes swings and some other exercises a bit awkward unless I take a wider stance than I normally do and even then. Other than that it’s a good piece of equipment, changes weight quickly, faster than I’d expected, and has some pretty good/cool features. I give three stars mostly for the retail price tho, there are probably better kettlebells for around the same, if not cheaper, I just bought this cause it was on sale for pretty cheap.

As someone who works out regularly and is collecting gym equipment to hopefully one day have an at-home gym; The JAXJOX Kettlebell is not only a space-saving piece of equipment but a money saver as well. A complete 5–50-pound set of kettlebells can cost at least $500. Not only will you be paying the hefty price for a set of kettlebells, but you will need to set aside a decent amount of space to store the kettlebells. The JAXJOX Kettlebell solves all these problems by having a single kettlebell that can easily increment in weight(6lbs) with a push of a button. The Kettlebell goes from 12lb to 42lb in just seconds. Along with the space efficient design, the kettlebell has plenty of other amazing features that makes this a worthy buy. ===================================================================================== IN THE BOX/SETUP/APPEARANCE: In the box, you will be receiving the Kettlebell Connect. The kettlebell itself weighs 12lbs without any additional weights. There are 5 Small 6lb weights which are labeled 1-5. A USB-A to USB-C cable to charge up the base. (Kudos to JAXJOX for sticking with USB-C) There is no power brick in the box included but a phone’s power brick can be used with the cable. Finally, an instruction manual that includes the instructions in many different languages. Points for JAXJOX for these small details, many companies forget about people who do not speak or read English! The setup was straightforward. Place the small 6lb weights starting with 5 on the base, then 4, and so on. You would then place the kettlebell over them. The base does not need to be plugged in all the time. You would only need to plug it in when it needs to be charged. Once the base was all charged, I was ready to use the kettlebell. I did find the kettlebell to be a bit on the bigger side but overall, that wasn’t too much of a problem as the size of the kettlebell did not interfere with any of my exercises. The kettlebell is made with a sturdy material that should take some beatings over time. The 6lb weights are also excellent quality and should last as well. I did find the base to be cheap. The base is plastic and over time I do think this can easily wear. I would have wanted a better material to be used for the base since one will be constantly lifting and lowering the kettlebell onto here. ===================================================================================== EXPERIENCE SO FAR/JAXJOX APP: The kettlebell so far has been an exceptional addition to my gym equipment and workout routine. Adjusting weight is effortless and can even be done through the JAXJOX App! Drop sets feel great and the quick adjustability of the weight certainly helps with this. Whether I am doing goblet squats, kettlebell swings, presses, etc. Every exercise feels as natural as using a cast iron kettlebell. The only problem I had was placing the kettlebell back into the base. When there were 2-3 weights present in the kettlebell, I did have to play with it for a bit to successfully insert the kettlebell into the base correctly. Optional but certainly helpful is the JAXJOX App. The JAXJOX app has a clean UI but can be better organized. The app tracks all your performance with the kettlebell in real-time. Some of the items that the app tracks are the number of reps you performed, power output, duration of the workout, heart rate, and more. I could not get a heart rate to show up but then I found that the app is compatible with a Google Health Kit and Fitbit which are probably used to track heart rate. The app has plenty of features but to receive the full experience, you will need to subscribe to a monthly membership which goes for about $12.99/mo. This is not required but the app will have limited features without the subscription. This price is a bit too much considering JAXJOX equipment is expensive as it is. I subscribed to the free trial and decided to try out “the full experience.” The classes offered are great for beginners and advanced lifters alike. There are even programs offered that can help you get in shape over time. I also found a “Skills” section that teaches you how to conduct a variety of kettlebell exercises. While the videos were helpful, I probably will not be using the app any further upon trial termination. Not only is the price a bit steep but the app is buggy, and disorganized. Rep counts were on and off at times. I also could not find where all my performance data was being stored and a couple of other small things that made the app difficult to use. ===================================================================================== CONCLUSION: Overall, using the JAXJOX kettlebell has been an exciting experience so far in itself. The amazing space-saving design and the quick adjustability are some of the best features the kettlebell has to offer. Unfortunately, the JAXJOX app was not as functional as I thought it would be. The JAXJOX app while informative, does need significant improvement for it to be used with the kettlebell successfully. JAXJOX offers other fitness products such as connect dumbbells and foam rollers. The dumbbells are possibly next on the list as this kettlebell has impressed me. I wholeheartedly have enjoyed using the kettlebell these past few days and do recommend you try it out for yourself.

Love how easy it is to change the weight, and also how compact it is then having multiple kettle bells with different weights eating up your space. This is a space safer as well!!! Highly recommend to get!!

Took it out of the packaging and the stands display screen is shattered. Since the product is sold out in store and online. Bestbuy is doing nothing to help me replace it besides return it and get my money back. But I got it for a crazy deal and I don’t want to lose the discount.

Worked good for a few weeks, liked having all the weights in one kettlebell. But now it won’t sense the outer shell so no longer useable can’t adjust the weights. After a month no longer works and can no longer return after 30 days. Don’t recommend

With gyms being closed, was looking for something compact and diverse. Heard a lot about kettlebell workouts but didn’t want several sizes and spend a lot of money doing it. This was the best option and I’m really impressed. It’s been two weeks and it’s been a great experience. The JAXJOX app and workouts have been great. I just mirror my phone to my tv and do my 45 minute routine. The kettlebell tracks my workouts. I would highly recommend this product.

I ordered a few of these on clearance, and honestly, even at clearance pricing, they aren't worth it. Most of the weights came damaged, meaning they aren't safe to use, and customer support from JaxJox is about as good as Facebook's, meaning it doesn't exist. Best Buy isn't much help, either. They don't seem to realize how difficult items like this are to return. I'll close my account with Best Buy as soon as I manage the returns on this item.

All thexweights were cracked on top of them. Not sure what to do. I purchase early tonput away for fathers day now its nom returnable

I work out with kettlebells very infrequently, preferring dumbbells. I have a set of adjustable dumbbells, so the idea of adjustable and connected kettlebells sounded like an interesting way to vary my routine and get the benefits of a connected exercise device. I was a little hesitant based on the description of how the adjustment occurs to add the additional weight. Their website only tells you that the "automatic interlocking weight system" works "like magic." After all, working out with kettlebells often involves swinging them in the air at a high rate of speed, so I wanted to see if the interlocking system held together during a workout. I performed two 30 minute workouts involving a variety of moves including the Halo which involves quickly moving the kettlebell around your head in a 360 degree motion. I changed weights in between sets to see if I could return to the workout in time and to check to ensure the weights changed correctly and did not come apart. They did adjust to the weight indicated on the base and they did not come apart at any time, despite the hard and fast movements. I enjoyed the change in routine from barbells and I appreciated that the change in weight happens faster than it does with the manual change on my "dumb" dumbbells which involve pulling out a pin and reinserting it. I also like that the JaxJox does not take up a lot of space as multiple kettlebells would. There are only two drawbacks that I noticed: 1. The cord on the power adapter is very short. Given I work out in a garage and the available outlets are few and far between, getting the JaxJox base in a location close enough to where I wanted to work out was a challenge. I am trying to avoid adding more power strips than I already have in there. 2. The app is not intuitive. It takes time to figure out where to go to log a workout. I still cannot find the record of my workouts. It appears the app is more of a marketing tool for them to sell you on their subscription or their other products ranging from a foam roller to an upcoming mirror copycat than a useful tool. 95% of what you see asks you to upgrade to Premium in order to access features. . As for whether this product is something you should buy, I would start by considering whether you have ever worked out with kettlebells. At this high price, JaxJox is not something to experiment with. Try plain old kettlebells and see if you enjoy the workout. If you find you really want to incorporate kettlebell workouts into your fitness routine, then decide whether you will use them enough to spend almost a years' worth of gym dues on this device (and that's without the monthly subscription). If limited workout space is your main concern, then this is a good option.

Great price for an adjustable kettlebell. Quality is good and easy to use.

I just bought yhese and opened the package. Inspecting them almost all the weight pieces have cracks in them.

Many fitness trainers will tell you that if you can just own one piece of equipment, then the kettlebell is probably your best option to purchase. Kettlebells are manufactured in specific weights and different weighted kettlebells are used for different exercises to work and strengthen different groups of muscles. The JAXJOX Kettlebell Connect 2.0 is an all-in-one offering exercise weights from 12 to 42 lbs. It is a single kettlebell that operates on a rechargeable battery that last up to 14 hours. With a push of the button on the front panel, the weight can quickly change in increments of 6 lbs. from 12-42 lbs. With the Bluetooth pairing and use of the app, you can have real time data tracking and coaching that will help you meet your goals. There are five individual weighted discs, the shell, base, and a charging cable. The weights stack on the base in numerical order and when aligned and the shell lowered in position over the stacked weights onto the base, a beep will sound. Each time the kettlebell is raised from the base or lowered onto the base a beep will sound. Without the beep, the disc will not be aligned to work properly. This happened to me the first couple of days that I used the equipment. Incidentally, I realized that I had moved the equipment twice during this time, each time causing the misalignment. To realign the weights is a super easy fix. Simply lift the shell off the base. Press down on the “-“and “+” symbols on the base at the same time until the numbers flash and presents the options between 1 and the number 5. Set this to the number of discs that are left on the base. Lower the shell onto the base and the beep will occur as the kettlebell realigns itself. Then just set it to anywhere between 12 and 42 and get to work. The app offers many opportunities for participation in exercise programs with coaching, exercises for strengthening your core, interactive studio classes, and a way to make exercise goals, track progress and meet your fitness goals. In addition to the Kettlebell, JAXJOX Fitness IQ 6.89 offers 5 other devices to help you reach your fitness goals. The company offers a DumbellConnect, a Push UpConnect, Foam Roller Connect, a Heart Rate Monitor and a Smart Scale. All of these works interchangeable with the exercises, interactive classes and coaching presented through use of the app. During the last year I have retained my gym membership but have been shy about regular workouts due to the pandemic that all of society is experiencing. This JAXJOX Kettlebell has been a welcomed addition to my home. It takes up very little space and requires daily repetitions in order to strengthen and move up to higher weights. I recommend this product for anyone wanting to work on their fitness goals. I think that you will find that it offers a variety of options to do so.

I've been a long time weightlifter. Not professionally, but I've grown up lifting weights. I'm not a gym rat lifting everyday, but I know my way around working out. Ever since the pandemic hit I've been trying to make a better home gym. The JAXJOX adjustable kettleball is a great addition to my adjustable dumbbells and indoor cycling machine. With it being adjustable, you obviously don't need multiple kettleballs. However, the downside is that the kettleball is pretty big, even when set at the lowest weight. The app isn't required, but there are enough classes to get you started. The reason I say started: at $12.99, it's yet another subscription. For me, the kettleballs are expensive enough that I would have liked to see some free workouts (i.e. maybe a list of workouts to perform with a short video tutorial a la Bowflex's dumbbells). I just can't justify another $10+ monthly subscription right now. That's not to say the classes aren't any good, quite the opposite, much like Peloton, the instructions are great and really keep you motivated and help encourage you. But at the end of the day, you're either going to be motivated or not. No app, whether free or paid, will put on your workout clothes. IN THE BOX AND INITIAL SETUP The box is large and heavy. It comes with the dumbbell, the base, a USB-C cable, and obviously the weights. There are 5 weights and they all have to be stacked in the correct order. There's a handy tip sheet in the box that explains it. The plates are numbered 1-5 so you really can't mess it up. It's simple. But I did have some confusion connecting the dumbbells to the app. When I first opened the box, I knew where I wanted the kettleball to be, but I didn't have a plug nearby. So to speed it up, I thought I would charge the base. I did. Unplugging the cable after the base was charged. But then when I stacked the weights, the screen would turn on, but nothing would happen. I finally figured out, through trial and error, that there is a battery in the kettleball shell. I needed to put it on the stand and charge both it and the base. After I let it charge, the app quickly found it and it was working as expected. I just wish the language in the instructions (which I honestly could have overlooked) was a little more clear in that both need to be charged. BATTERY AND CHARGING Before I go into use and the app, I wanted to mention that it's battery powered. Of course, you could leave it plugged in all the time, but if you're like me, I don't have an outlet near the kettleball. My options are to either hall the entire 48 pounds closer to an outlet or use an extension cable. Neither are ideal, but it's not the end of the world. I found the battery to drain pretty quickly, relatively speaking. I charged it, worked out a couple of times, and the next week the battery was low. I am not quarreling with the battery life, frankly, that type of battery length isn't bad, but again, depending on your setup, charging might prove cumbersome. You can luckily use it while it's plugged in, so unlike wireless headphones you forgot to charge, when the battery is dead you can at least plug it in and still be able to workout. Again, this is by no means a dealbreaker, just something to think about when planning where you might put the kettleball in your home workout area. USE Assuming it's charged, it's a breeze to use. There are only two buttons on the front screen, an arrow pointing left and an arrow pointing right. You simply push the buttons to get to the weight you want. It ranges from 12-48 pounds and goes in 6 pound increments. You will hear a beep when it's safe to lift the kettleball. Just for clarification, the kettleball changes the weight when a "corkscrew" inside the handle turns and locks the desired weights into position (hence why the handle has a battery too). As I mentioned earlier, the kettleball is pretty big, but that's understandable. Obviously a straight 48 pound dumbbell is pretty large in and of itself, but it feels a little jarring to be picking up a large sized 12 pound weight. I'm a 6'4" male, so I don't find the size of the kettleball to cause any issues. I'm not sure it would for smaller persons, but it's something to keep in mind. I'm confident anyone can adjust to the size, and if you've never used a kettleball before, then you won't know the difference. JAXJOX APP I like the app. It's very intuitive, easy to understand, and easy to navigate. Once the kettleball is charged, it's easy to add it as a device (I assume the same is true for their other products). What I really like is the schedule function. It gives you the ability to pick what classes you want to take and put them on a calendar for reminders. It's a good way to hold yourself accountable. It's much easier to make yourself workout when it's on your calendar, vs. relying on willpower alone with no schedule (at least for me). The workouts are divided into "skills," "classes," and "programs." The skills are a nice way to introduce you to the proper form of lifting kettleballs (well, how to perform specific exercises/moves). The programs selection is pretty much nonexistent. There's one and it's a six week course. I haven't tried it, but much like why I like the calendar function, I think having a program that is 6 week long will really force you to complete it. The classes are similar to Peloton, you pick the class based on instructor or types of workouts. There aren't a ton of classes (at least when compared to say Peloton), but there's plenty there to get you started and I'm certain they'll be adding more. The types of classes are labeled SWEAT, STRONG and RESTORE. To me, that's like cardio, strength and stretching. The classes range from 20 minutes to 45 minutes. I found the instructors to be engaging and encouraging. They are great especially for beginners. MY FINAL THOUGHTS I think a kettleball, and and adjustable one at that, is a great addition to any home gym. Kettleball workouts have tremendous benefits (I've heard you spend less time working out with them than traditional weights with the same benefits). I don't think JAXJOX is unreasonably priced. If the app was required to own them, I might pause at recommended it. I think the app definitely has value, and the classes there are great, but it's one more subscription service to pay for, and at least for me, the benefits quickly run out. Frankly, there's only so many moves you can perform with kettleballs. Although I really do like the preloading and prescheduling of classes to provide you with some structure to help ensure you meet your goals. For me, I just don't see $12.99 a month subscription for kettleball workouts to be worth it. That's not to say you wouldn't like them, even if you don't think you would subscribe and your looking at these kettleballs, I would certainly take advantage of the free month. You may ultimately find that it's worth it. Even if you don't go the app route, these kettleballs work great without it and for that reason alone, I would highly recommend them for those looking to expand their home gym, or start a new one. Just keep in mind the charging situation, you'll want a plug or an extension cord nearby.

As I have gotten older, the realization of how important keeping in shape is has never been greater. Over the past year, with gyms being closed for part of that time and our lives being changed, I have learned alternative ways to exercise. I have numerous free weights and a couple of kettlebells but they take up a lot of room. When I saw this kettlebell, I was intrigued. Instead of having to have a bunch of different kettlebells to cover the various weights I like to use for different exercises, I can have 1 JaxJox kettlebell that can give me weights from 12-45 lbs. Not only that, but there are some really cool premium features where it will give you exercises and track your workouts to gauge your fitness level. There are even "classes" to watch to learn better exercises ranging from HIIT (one of my favorite) to strength training. The JaxJox kettlebell comes with a base to set the kettlebell on as well as a USB cable to plug it in and a beefy manual. When you turn the unit on, you can choose the weight you want to use and the base will enable the kettlebell to change the weight electronically. The kettlebell is separated into segments. A shaft runs up the center. A lock cam selects the correct weight and locks it in place with the cam. My biggest concern is this cam. When all of the weights are on, the cam wriggles enough on the shaft that I am concerned that it will move enough to allow the weight to drop. I attached a picture to show what this looks like. This may just be an issue with the set that I received. All in all, this product is definitely something useful. If you are someone who is truly committed to working out at home, you should take a look at this.

What can I say besides it’s a huge convenience to have multiple variations of weights in one kettlebell when you live in an apartment in NYC where space is at a premium. The connection to the app is simple, adjusting the weight just as simple only wish that the app itself was more user friendly and had a few free workouts as opposed to having to own a subscription.
