John Denver - Sunshine On My Shoulders: The Best Of - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

John Denver ?- John Denver's Greatest Hits Producer - Milton Okun Producer [Assistant] - Kris O'Connor Reissue produced by Bob Irwin. Mastered by Vic Anesini, Richard King and Andreas Meyer at Sony Music Studios, New York

BMG Strategic Marketing Group assembles here, the definitive single disc collection of Denver favorites, along with a bonus disc of special & previously unreleased songs that every fan will want to have. Pulled from the original master tapes & remastered to perfection, this is the purest sounding John Denver ever.

2011 collection from the late Folk/Pop superstar. This collection features all his great hits and ends with Denver's biggest songwriting success, 'Leaving on a Jet Plane', which now seems inseparable from Peter, Paul & Mary. But to hear Denver sing it, it's not a sunny, hopeful radio single. There's a real weight in his voice, as if he genuinely doesn't Inchknow when I'll be back again,Inch and the thought of being separated from his love is terrible and crushing. John Denver's got a way of feeling everything that seems almost alien in the cold environs of the 21st century, and - unabashedly earnest and easy listening as it is - the Ultimate Collection is a fine reminder of a gentle voice from another time and place. Includes 'Annie's Song', 'Rocky Mountain High', 'Take Me Home, Country Roads', 'My Sweet Lady' and many more. Sony.
