John Lee Hooker & Canned Heat - Vintage - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Tom Rogerson - Finding Shore [COMPACT DISCS] date 12/08/2017

This album presents the first recordings from the emerging talents of Blues group Canned Heat. It was produced by the legendary Johnny Otis and was recorded a full two years before their international breakthrough with InchOn the Road AgainInch. These early tracks include versions of Blues standards that became regulars on their play list throughout their career. Songs like InchRollin' and Tumblin', InchSpoonfulInch, InchGot My Mojo WorkingInch and InchBig Road BluesInch became staples of their live act. Canned Heat still record and tour the world today. A truly fascinating look at the origins of a band that have become synonymous with the blues.

The 4 friends in band Kärbholz from the tranquil town of Ruppichteroth, Germany will be 18 years old in 2023.Some people will think that at some point the wear and tear must become noticeable. Not at all. Because the forced break of the past two years was by no means only a stroke of bad luck for Torben (vocals), Adrian (guitar), Stefan (bass) and Henning (drums). True to the motto InchEven the break belongs to the music!Inch the time was used to catch their breath, refuel and creatively come together and reunite in the rehearsal room. Once again, the four guys were supported by the producer team Eike Freese (Chameleon Studios) and Alexander Dietz (Heaven Shall Burn, Chemical Burn Studios). On InchKapitel Elf BarrikadenInch you can hear 11 new tracks. Songs that tell stories from life sometimes in a small, sometimes in a big way. The musical range of the album is proven by songs like the poem DER ZUG set to music, the Inchalmost crossoverInch brawler MUT GEGEN PERSPEKTIVE or GAR NICHTS, which alternates between bittersweet harmonies and rigorous reckoning with false friends.
