About this product
Khun Narin's Electric Phin Band are a multi-generational psychedelic powerhouse from rural Thailand whose ecstatic, amplifier-blown folk music has quietly become one of the most unlikely global cult phenomena of the last decade.Hailing from Phetchabun Province, the group formed as a community celebration band - playing weddings, temple fairs, ordinations and village parades. At the center of their sound is the electrified phin, a traditional three-stringed Thai lute whose piercing, spiraling melodies cut through walls of percussion and portable PA distortion. What might begin as a local procession quickly transforms into something transcendent hypnotic riffs cycling endlessly, rhythms pushing forward with relentless momentum, musicians of all ages locked into communal euphoria.Ten years after their last , Khun Narin's Electric Phin Band return with their first new album in a decade - and their first ever recorded inside a professional studio. Produced by Tommy Brenneck (known for his work with Amy Winehouse, Charles Bradley, Sharon Jones, Beyoncé, Mark Ronson, and The Budos Band), the album captures the band with a depth and clarity never heard before - without sacrificing the ecstatic propulsion that defines them. The result is both refinement and revelation. The phin still soars in sharp, spiraling lines; the percussion still drives with marathon intensity; but now every texture resonates with new dimension. It is the sound of a village tradition amplified for the world stage - communal, kinetic, and joyfully uncontainable.Khun Narin's Electric Phin Band do not simply perform songs; they create momentum. They build trance from repetition. They turn celebration into transport. A decade later, their return feels less like a comeback and more like a continuation of something timeless - music that exists beyond borders, beyond genres, and beyond expectation.

Jacob Latimore is already an accomplished actor, having starred in major motion pictures from Black Nativity, Ride Along, Maze Runner, and most recently, Collateral Beauty with Will Smith. However, Jacob is not just a one trick pony, and has also proved that he is a singer/performer from his younger days in being a part of Radio Disney's incubator program, to spending some time on the legendary tag, JIVE to 2017 with the of his first, full-length project. Being able to blend R&B chops with today's fresh soundscapes has Jacob taking the reigns on this project, only getting assistance from fellow Milwaukee native, and rising star, ishDARR.

Limited yellow colored vinyl LP pressing. Includes . On Third, Jitwam expands upon his beat-making abilities and production, fusing live music with samples and edits while elevating his craft to new heights. He evokes memories of finding peace within the chaos of daily life. As it takes Jitwam Inchtime to sit and reflectInch, the album was years in the making partly inspired by his time in London, but more so by his adventures in New York City. There's also guest features from Melanie Charles and Akhtari. Like NYC, Third skips across genres nimbly with a drunken bravado collecting along the way influences from Latin music, soul, punk, and a lot of disco. It melds all these genres into a singular rich sound showcasing, yet again, how Jitwam has carved out a path unto himself. Across ten tracks, he creates infectious songs which are gratifyingly hard to categorize with a mixture of modulated vocals and traditional instrumentation amalgamated with the headiness of soulful house and jazz.
