I purchased this KitchenAid 24" Front Control Dishwasher back in November 2022, and it’s hands down one of the best appliance decisions I’ve ever made. From day one, it has delivered exceptional cleaning performance, and after two years of daily use, it still runs like brand new, average operation 1-2 per week. The ProWash Cycle automatically adjusts to the load and has never let me down — everything from delicate glassware to pots with baked-on food comes out spotless. The 3rd rack is a game changer; it gives so much extra room for utensils and smaller items, freeing up space on the lower racks. This was a must-have for me and it has definitely lived up to the hype. What truly stands out is the quiet operation. At just 39 dBA, it’s so silent that I often have to check the indicator light to confirm it’s even running. That’s been a huge plus in an open-concept home where kitchen noise usually travels. Compared to my old GE (no shade) which we could often hear in operation from our upstairs bedroom. The PrintShield stainless steel finish still looks fantastic, resisting fingerprints and smudges far better than my old dishwasher. It still looks brand new, which is impressive after nearly two years of regular use. Overall, this dishwasher has been a perfect mix of style, reliability, and performance. If you’re on the fence. When we had the repair tech from Geek Squad come out to look at the old machine, we asked his opinion on replacement items (repair wasn't worth the cost) and Kitchen Aid and Bosch were high on his list of recommended brands. I can confidently say it’s been worth every penny.

Before purchasing this product, I spent a fair amount of time to decide which dishwasher was the best one to buy. It was worth the time reading reviews and that’s how I made my decision. Hands down…… best decision ever . I paid for the install and the crew did a fantastic job. I also purchased the separate hook up kit which was installed. They cleaned up and made sure it was ready to go. I have filled up the dishwasher 5 times now with no problems. I CANNOT believe how quiet this machine is !!! My husband asked me a few times, did you start it? I am very happy with everything. I haven’t used the top rack yet !! Clean squeaky glasses and plates and silverware . I used the Finish samples inside the unit. I highly recommend this machine. Lots of room inside. I couldn’t have picked a better dishwasher !!

We’ve had KitchenAid products before and a KitchenAid dishwasher in our previous house. They’re not cheap but you get what you pay for. I installed this myself and it took three hours. It would’ve been closer to two had I worked with another pair of hands but being a stubborn idiot I was adamant I didn’t need help. Slow and steady wins the race. The dishwasher itself cleans very well. We really only use one setting - normal + dry. It’s quiet (the sound insulation does the trick) and does easy to operate. I prefer simple operation panel and this has that. I found our previous Samsung a bit slow to respond when I pushed the buttons. This responds right away. Could have been the machine, could have been a Samsung thing. Don’t know. Either way, I like this thing. The top third rack was a new feature for us and we really like it - for jar lids, larger utensils and silverware. Being at the top of the dishwasher, it makes it a nice quick transfer to the silverware drawer at the same height in the kitchen rather than pulling out the movable silverware container. That’s fine too and bigger than previous containers. The top is a little finicky to “slide” off but it’s a not a big deal. It’s too early to see if this thing will cause problems but so far so good.

Love the look and style of this dishwasher. Very quiet when its running. Third rack is great as well. Dishes come out very clean. Functions well. Biggest disappointment was that it began to show signs of rust on the top of the dishwasher and the protective coating is peeling off on the bottom of the dishwasher when it was only 9 months old. I mentioned it to two friends that also have KitchenAid dishwashers and one of them showed me rust on their dishwasher that was a little over a year old, and the other friend showed me the coating peeling on their KitchenAid dishwasher as well. I live alone, I am OCD clean type person and can't stand a water stain, so I ensure any and all drops of water are dried up with a towel if they splash on this dishwasher when loading it. I can guarantee this is not due to the user and it's the quality of the product which no longer exists. I can say I'm really disappointed as I do love the look and style of this dishwasher and the how it functions. Unfortunately, with it rusting in under a year, it's only the matter of time before I have to replace it. I paid a premium for quality and a product I expected to last.

This dishwasher is the best we have ever owned. We love 3 drawers. The best part is that all of our old glasses and glass lids that had water stains on them are completely spotless and look brand new! Absolutely amazing! It’s so quiet you have to stay very still near it to hear it. We replaced our old kitchenaid dishwasher that we had from 2004! It finally broke after 19 years. Was a great dishwasher also so we will definitely stay with the kitchenaid brand. Cannot beat the lifetime value for the price.

I’ve had this dishwasher for about a month now. It’s incredibly quiet and does a beautiful job with my dishes! They come out so dry (my other dishwasher left most of my dishes so soaking wet each time). The top third rack is super cool, you can’t fit too much up there but I do love it. I also love that you can move the second tier up and down to fit your needs! It’s exactly what I was looking for!

We replaced our 20+ year old dishwasher with this and it’s night and day. It’s in order of magnitude quieter! The third tray is a revelation. The door feels very premium when opening and closing, and the trays feel smooth when pulling them in and out. It dries quite well, and I’m having no issue with it drying the third tray when one does the extended dry option. I’m loving the multiple delay options so it can just do its thing overnight. It’s super easy to use, and I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

Dishwasher arrived on time and installation was completed by a Best Buy contracted 3rd party. I've only used it a couple of times so far and can confirm its super quiet. The 3rd rack is nice for larger utensils and the adjustable 2nd rack is also a nice feature. I would have given 5 stars if not for a couple of annoying things that were not explained at time of purchase. First, I've now discovered that you can NOT use the rinse cycle with the heated dry option, you have to use one of the other wash options which will make it a longer cycle to complete. Secondly, after signing up for a Best Buy Plus Membership ($49 for a year, but it did give me an extra $100 discount on the price) a free 3 month subscription to YouTube Premium was to be included. However, it was not explained that this is ONLY if you're a new subscriber to any YouTube product, which I am not, so that offer was rendered useless. I may be rambling on and nitpicking now about things that aren't totally related to the dishwasher itself, but more so Best Buy in general - it seems in the fine print this offer expires on March 2nd, 2024, which is odd because my purchase was made on March 28, 2024. Not sure why I would receive an email from Best Buy regarding this offer if it has expired. Don't be me, make sure all your questions get answered. Here's the fine print........................ (Active My Best Buy Plus™ or My Best Buy Total™ required for free trial . Offer only available to users who are not currently YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium subscribers; have not been YouTube Premium, YouTube Music Premium, YouTube Red or Google Play Music subscribers; and have not participated in a YouTube Premium, YouTube Music Premium, Google Play Music or YouTube Red trial before. Offer must be redeemed by March 2, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. PT. A valid form of payment is required at signup, but you will not be charged until the trial period expires. At the end of the trial period, you will be automatically charged the individual subscription price, currently $13.99/month, on a monthly recurring basis. So far so good. I’ve had this dishwasher for about a month now. It is super quiet. Cleans well. Looks good. Dishes don’t get completely dry even on the extended dry. For some reason, I feel like the slide out drawers/baskets sit a little low. I can see how this would be an issue for an elderly person or someone with back issues. On the other hand it might be good for a wheelchair bound person.

Still works great in 2025 since I bought it 3 years ago. Looks great, is quiet, cleans well, is ergonomic, does a great job of cleaning reliably without leaving stuff behind or scratching my dishes. Hasn’t broken down or had any issues. Will definitely get another KitchenAid.

Very happy with the purchase. Really quiet. on the first run, I had to put my ear to the door to know it was running - I could not hear it above the ambient noise in the house. I was a little wary of one reviewers comment that you can use heated dry only on Pro cycle. However, during the purchase, the Best Buy rep confirmed heated dry can be used in all cycles. We mostly use the express wash and heated dry has always worked (see the pic of the console during a run). 3rd rack is a bonus. There is ample space in the spoon rack. Middle rack can be raised to accommodate larger utensils in the bottom rack. Overall, very satisfied with the performance so far.

My wife saw this washer at Lowes in Pittsboro and this is what we wanted. Ours had stopped working days before Christmas and we were expecting guests over the holidays. As luck would have it, they were on backorder until the end of January with both Lowes and Home Depot stores within 50 miles. On Friday night, Best Buy told us they could have one delivered and installed Monday morning. They came through for us! It was delivered and installed as promised! Awesome selection! This is so quiet we weren't even sure it was running (39db). We actually had to get within about a foot before hearing it running. The 3rd rack is an awesome option and it does a superb job! Thrilled!!!

The washing is excellent-very clean dishes. It does however take a couple of hours to complete the total cycle. It also has more open prongs so you have to learn to stack the dishes in a different manner- You do have plenty of room for it though

Couldn’t be happier with this KitchenAid dishwasher! It’s so quiet, and cleans much better than our previous unit. And the extra rack provides more room, and is so convenient. My wife loves the PrintShield fingerprint proof stainless steel, easy to keep sparkling!

I did a lot of shopping around before deciding on this dishwasher. This unit, the 204 model, has almost all of the advantages of the more expensive 404 and 604 models. In addition to saving money, what ultimately made me prefer the 204 is that it uses a standard filtration system, as opposed to the “ self cleaning” filter system in the more expensive models. From what I could gather, the standard filtration system has a higher predicted reliability. Another factor that set this unit apart from competitors is the fact that it has the controls on the front of the door, rather than on top of the door. I read enough horror stories of failures due to water getting into the controls that I decided to opt for this version. As for performance: 1) The racks feel very solid, and glide/lock into place every time. 2) The cleaning performance, especially on the “Tough” setting, is impressive. The first couple of loads I washed, I intentionally left a larger amount of food on the dishes than I normally would— and the unit still did a great job of cleaning them. 3) The drying performance is very good, as long as you select “ heated dry”. I’m not sure how it compares to other, more expensive options, but for me it’s perfectly adequate. All of these features are great, but what really pushed me over the edge is Whirlpool’s extensive service network in the United States. I like knowing that there are contractors who specialize in this equipment, and I also generally prefer to buy products made in the USA. Bottom line: I’m happy with my KitchenAid!

This KitchenAid dishwasher is mostly wonderful, with just one change I'd make in the design. The uppermost rack is not as useful as it could be. If there was one more indented area that would accommodate large items such as spatulas and cooking spoons, it would be an improvement. There is only room for about two large utensils on the upper rack, but there are lots of slots for additional silverware, which I mostly don't use. The machine is very quiet, does a great job of cleaning, even on Express Wash and Heat Dry. As a two-person family, we only run it every couple of days, so it's also economical. I would recommend this KitchenAid model.

We've had it for a couple weeks now and so far so good! Lots of space inside. It cleans well and is incredibly quiet. I sometimes have to touch the door with my hand to make sure it's working because it's so quiet! Installation with the best buy tech was very good too. The technician was quick and efficient. My only complaints are that the dishwasher door is a bit low to the ground and the buttons are touchy. I am average height and need to bend quite a bit to pull the door up or flat down. Not a deal breaker though.

This dishwasher is great. It is very quiet and easy to use. I love the 3rd top rack. Nice feature. This piece completes the set. Now I have matching appliances. Another thing I like is the fact that I can start the dishwasher right after dinner and it won't interfere with the television. We love the top mounted controls. Gives you lots of options even for baked on foods.
