  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: false (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

    • Water Soil Sensor: true (Feature that measures how dirty the water is throughout the wash cycle and adjusts the energy and water usage as needed. This can increase washing efficiency and may reduce energy costs.)
    • Wireless Connectivity: None (The manner in which a device sends data to another device over a short distance without the use of wires or cables.)

    • Steam Cleaning: false (Wash cycle that primarily uses steam to loosen food debris and clean fragile dishware without force.)

Keep up with the tools you use from preparation to the table with this dishwasher's three racks of versatile loading possibilities and complete wash coverage. The FreeFlex third rack fits glasses, mugs, bowls, silverware and cooking tools, freeing up room below for pots, plates, and mixing bowls. • Adjustable rows in middle and lower racks: Fold down to make room for dishes in a variety of shapes and sizes, such as roasting pans, serving bowls, colanders, and Dutch ovens.
  • Two stemware holders in middle rack: Secure wine glasses along the side of the rack to prevent them from moving around during the wash cycle.

Q: Can the “made in America” sticker be removed? If so, does it leave a mark?

A: Just recently installed a Whirlpool dishwasher with a foil looking "Made in the USA" sticker on the bottom right-hand corner of the front door. I tried to lift it with a fingernail, however it wouldn't budge. I took a microfiber cloth and saturated it with very hot tap water and held it on the sticker for a few minutes. I was able to lift enough of the sticker to grip it with my fingertips and it peeled right off....problem solved.

Q: I just got my dishwasher installed and it is making an odd sound. I haven’t had a new dishwasher in 17 years, so i am not sure if this sound is normal or not. It is a very rapid vibrating sound or like it is straining. It happens periodically.

A: You are probably hearing the blade that pulverizes any food particles so they can be pumped out with the dirty water. I'm used to it now and have plans to put it to the test by not rinsing, or even scraping food off thoroughly, and seeing how it does. Hope this helps!

Q: Can this dishwasher adjust to 33.5 inches tall?

A: Linny, the Dishwasher's minimum height is 33 1/2".

Q: What is the duration of each cycle? How do you know how much time is left?

A: The ProWash and Normal cycles take about 2 hours and 15 minutes for dishes that have been rinsed off before being put into the dishwasher. The ProWash cycle detects dirt and such and will go longer if needed, hence rinsing the dishes before they go in. That and it smells better if you take more than a day to accumulate a full load

Q: Can you just turn on the heated drying if your dishes are still damp from a previous full cycle?

A: Hi LOS, the heated dry is considered an additional option that can be added to a cycle but can not be used as a cycle by itself. We hope this helps.

Q: Kitchen Aid dishwasher will have “clean” light on and will have bell sound go on continually until I have to turn off power to the dishwasher. I touch “cancel” and machine will sound like it is draining. After sound stops I will hit Start but nothing.

A: Hello Chris, we sincerely apologize for the concerns with your appliance and would like to review this further for you. Please reach out to us via Facebook https://www.facebook.com/KitchenAid or Twitter @KitchenAidCare. We look forward to speaking with you.

Q: Does heated dry only work on the ProWash Cycle or does it work on all Cycles?

A: There is an option for heated dry, which you can choose with any cycle. I don't know if it's automatic when choosing ProCycle because I haven't used that cycle yet, but you can certainly choose to turn heated dry on. Same with the high temperature wash, sanitizing wash, and extended heated dry options. The dishwasher also remembers your settings for each cycle, at least as far as I have experienced.

Q: Is a moisture barrier tape recommended on the wood board under a Corian counter top?

A: For further information, please refer to the Installation Guide provided below. https://bit.ly/2DsEilQ

    LOVE IT!

I absolutely love this dishwasher! It is well-built, roomy and its great configuration allows for plenty space to load a variety of items. The top third rack allows for more space for glasses. It cleans very well and very quiet. I got the model with the controls in the front instead of of on top of the door on purpose and absolutely love that feature. My last one was a GE Profile with the controls on the top of the door, which was it difficult to see where in the cycle it was once it was running and I had all sorts of problems with the panel freezing and needing to restart. In addition, the whole process with Best Buy, from the purchase to installation, was also great. They communicated with me from the get go and provided updates on the date of delivery so that I knew where I was within the delivery window. Once they arrived, the installers did a wonderful job. Highly recommend this dishwasher.

My Choice After Months of Research

I was in a battle with my insurance company over my roof, and I held out on purchasing a dishwasher until claim was settled. This led to me researching dishwashers for MONTHS! I am so happy with my choice. This dishwasher checked all my boxes. 1. NO top controls or handle. 2. Great at Drying PLASTICS. 3. Fingerprint friendly 4. 3rd rack would be nice. 5. Reliable and Good Brand. 6. Great Reviews. This dishwasher is amazing and lived up to its reviews. Surpassed my expectations. It has cleaned dishes that sat overnight, baked on food, greasy red sauce dishes... cleaned with no prior rinsing/scrubbing!!! The only water left on dishes is if it concaves on dish. I have cups that pool water at the top, but other than that my dishes are dry! I do use Cascade Platinum Rinse Aid and Sam's Members Mark dishwasher pods. The middle rack is so easy to adjust height and on the right side, it can fit taller items. Bottom rack back prong also folds down super easy to adjust for more open space. I did have to remove one of the silverware utensil separators because most of my utensils are thick and round on the ends. It slid off easily. This replaced my 18 year old GE base model that required me to wash the dishes before putting the dishes in dishwasher. I am very happy with my purchase, and Best Buy Geek Squad installers did an excellent job too. They were fast and professional.

    Love it!

I've been using this dishwasher for about 6 weeks now and haven't had any issues as some of other reviewers have stated. BUT it has been a dream the last 6 weeks! It does not make much noise during cycles, leaves dishes spotless and dry. I only use the recommended Cascade Platinum pods. The 3rd top rack for smaller items and oversized utensils is awesome, also love the large capacity. Looking forward to speedier cleanups during the holidays!
