Q: Does this cooktop replace a JennAir model?
A: Yes, but in my case, they had to make a half inch cut to the front side of the marble top
Q: How does this work with the fan? What if you have cupboards above it. What about moisture issues?
A: berk, the downdraft has a 3-speed fan control that can be adjusted to cooking needs, effectively removing steam, grease, and odors from the air. For location requirements and cabinet dimensions, please see pages 3-4 of the Installation Instructions: https://www.kitchenaid.com/content/dam/global/documents/201611/installation-instructions-W10848428-RevB.pdf.
A: Most probably. Keep in mind that this type of cooktop has a large exhaust fan that takes space.
A: I have not had it that long but most of the surface seems scratch resistant but i’m Careful to lift my pans not drag them. This cooktop does need cleaning with glass cooktop cleaning after every use but I imagine all glass cooktops do! There aren’t many choices for downdrafts that I was replacing.
