Q: What are the sizes of these 3 containers and can I wash them with water? Also, can I see the pictures of these blades? Thanks, Rose

A: Hi Rose, so according to Kitechaid official website, its says one steel blade cup can grind whole coffee beans to make up to 12 cups of coffee. I use to clean my grinder with brush and never used water as I don’t want to risk it and compromise my machine, to my opinion cleaning with brush is quite enough! I have attached you 2 pictures and I hope I helped out. My best

Q: Is this good for "dry" grinding? I need to use primarily for both dry and wet, to prepare fresh garam masalas, other indian spice powders and curry pastes.

A: The grinder comes with three containers. The larger one is really good ONLY for coffee beans, but the two smaller ones have a slightly different blade arrangement that works very well for nuts and seeds which is what I bought it for. I haven't used it for anything wet , only dry, but I see no reason why it wouldn't do the same for wet spices.

Q: Will this grind nuts as a very fine powder without grit?

A: Hi Dian, The Coffee and Spice Grinder will not grind nuts into a fine powder.

Q: Do the extra bowls have grinding blades or are they just storage containers?

A: There are two bowls, each has blades built in. Each has a cover which must be on when grinding. You can store the spices or coffee in the bowls or put it into another container for storage. I use 1 cup or 1/2 cup Mason jars for storage of infrequently used spices. I like this machine very much and would recommend it.

Q: Is it good for grinding coffee into a really fine powder as for Turkish coffee?

A: It does grind pretty thin if you keep grinding. I'm not sure what the difference would be for Turkish coffee, I only grind domestic beans. But I believe it is pretty fine. However, sometimes there are still one or two whole beans left in there.

Q: Can I use this grinder to make a paste of ginger onion or tomato???!

A: I mostly use it to my my own blend of dried condiments and spices. I haven’t used it for ginger or tomatoes I have another type of blender for those I also use it for my fresh grounded coffee. But try won’t hurt

Q: Can this be used to grind wet ginger to make ginger paste?

A: Hi santhi, The Coffee/Spice Grinder is not recommended for grinding wet ginger.
