A: The Three II does not have an internal battery included. It will need to be connected to a power source to play audio.

A: Yes. There are inputs on the back and a dial control on the top to select the phono input.
Q: can this be connected to amazon alexa
A: This speaker will not have WiFi capabilities. The Three with Google Voice Assistant would be a better product for what you are looking for.

My friend had a newer version of The Three, which got me looking into Klipsch "portables". I was going to get the smaller version of what he had - The One - because I really didn't need a phono pre or RCA inputs - when I noticed this older version of The Three available for the same lower price. I like the switches and dials on top better than what the new version has, and the speaker casing has a fantastic metal grate around the fabric, which also seems better than the new version. The new version relies on a phone app while this older version came with a remote, which I like. The drawback is that it doesn't have the USB-C that the newer one has - no big deal for me. Just but a $4 adapter if it matters. NOTE - this requires a power cord. This is not meant to be a portable battery powered party speaker. This is for a shelf or table top. Sound is a little boom-y, but I'm mostly sending compressed bluetooth audio streams at it, so I'm not trying to get the same sound I get from my HiFi components. Really happy with this purchase.

Perfect for our little phono set-up. Love the look and the sound is respectable for a little speaker. Great piece for us!
