About this product
180 gram gatefold LP with poster. Limited Edition White vinyl LP. Another new incredible project is born from the prolific Genoese prog scene, from the minds of Stefano Agnini (La Coscienza di Zeno) and Fabio Zuffanti (Finisterre, La Maschera di Cera, Hostsonaten...), bound by a hidden passion for surrealist, gothic and horror vintage comic books. No coincidence that La Curva Di Lesmo is named after a story written and drawn by the famous Guido Crepax in 1965, in which the character of Valentina appears for the first time, a symbol of women's emancipation and eroticism. Musically, the album consists of three long tracks for more than 50 minutes of solid symphonic/theatrical progressive rock, a rock opera sung, or rather interpreted in Italian. The first part is more adventurous and pushes La Curva Di Lesmo's music towards folk, pop, electronic, new-prog and symphonic atmospheres, unusual even to the two composers. The second part is more classical with a long progressive suite reminiscent of the Zuffanti's work with La Maschera di Cera. References here are Opus Avantra, Il Baletto di Bronzo, Pierrot Lunaire, Semiramis, Cervello; but there are fragments of the Genoese songwriting school (Fabrizio de André) and electro-vintage moments (those of Italian seventies obscure groups as I Guardiani della Galassia, Automat and others). The guests' list is long, and among the various 'prog names' there's a curious appearance by Beatrice Antolini, whose interpretation of InchLa posa dei mortiInch is simply perfect!

The highly anticipated long player from DJ, producer and musician Lorenzo Morresi alongside 22a tag boss, DJ, producer and musician Tenderlonious, sees them serve up 11 irresistible tracks inspired by Italo jazz funk and the Italian library sound. In the late 1960s and early 1970s Italian soundtrack and library music went through it's most experimental, prolific and dazzling period having a strong radio presence in both Europe and the US. Musicians and composers such as Piero Umiliani, Amleto Armando Roelens and even Ennio Morricone were regularly experimenting with idiosyncratic combinations of jazz, electronic, progressive, disco, funk and psych genres. It was their mutual love of these 60s and 70s soundtracks that brought Lorenzo Morresi and Tenderlonious together. After performing alongside each other at a festival in Italy back in 2017 the idea was quickly conceived to put together a fresh take starting with that early 1970s Italian style, using contemporary analogue inspired arrangements combined with experimental and joyful 'tongue-in-cheek' sounds that could work on the dance floor as well as at home. Tracks like InchNuda SorgenteInch, InchDoppio SognoInch and InchEstateInch are club oriented with a musical crossover from old- to- new. 'Estate' is a cover from the classic jazz standard by Italian singer Bruno Martino.Tender and Morresi worked tirelessly between Italy and London for approximately 2 years carefully shaping their album 'Cosmica Italiana' InchWith this project we've done our best to deliver our own interpretation of this wonderful era of Italian music and rediscover a beautiful genre, whilst maintaining a strong respect and admiration for the sounds that those original Italian masters created. Their records impressed and inspired us and we hope it will be the same for our listeners today.InchCosmica Italiana / Bazar Milano / Nuda Sorgente / Tema Cin
