About this product
Remastered for it's 10th Anniversary, the newly cut vinyl edition of Ripely Pine features the bonus track InchUp In The Rafters,Inch long a live favorite that really should have been on the album in the first place.More than anything, Aly Spaltro has 20,000 second-hand DVDs to thank for her first album. Despite being recorded at a proper studio in her recently adopted home of Brooklyn, Ripely Pine showcases songs conceived during her tenure at Bart's & Greg's DVD Explosion in Brunswick, Maine. Little did customers know, the same store they'd drop off their Transformers movies was providing the ideal four-year cocoon for the development of a major musical talent.Spaltro worked the 3 00 PM to 11 00 PM shift. Each night, after locking up, she'd walk past Drama and Horror, pull out her music gear from behind a wall of movies, and write and record songs until morning broke. She did this every day, drawing strength from the monotony of her routine and testing out multiple techniques, approaches and instrumentation. Anger, confusion, love, happiness and sadness reigned, and the songs ran rampant, with little form or structure. Isolated for those many hours, Spaltro let melodies morph together, break apart and pair up. This is how she taught herself to write music and sing.Taking the name Lady Lamb the Beekeeper, Spaltro became one of the most beloved musicians in Portland. Her live shows were unhinged, as melodies followed an internal logic only apparent to Spaltro herself. She sang and played guitar, and the songs offered a vivid yet brief snapshot of her expansive world. At 23, with years of writing and performing music already under her belt, she ventured to the next milestone-recording an album. This would be the first time she did so in a professional studio and the first time she shared the process with anyone else. Luckily, she met Nadim Issa at Let 'Em Music in Brookl

Black Butterfly is Buckcherry's fourth studio album, originally released on September 16, 2008. The album marked a continuation of the band's post-reunion momentum, following the commercial success of their 2006 15. Produced by Marti Frederiksen and Buckcherry themselves, Black Butterfly further refines the band's blend of hard rock swagger, emotional vulnerability, and high-energy anthems.Musically, the album features a mix of aggressive, riff-driven rockers and more melodic, introspective ballads. Tracks like InchRescue MeInch and InchTalk to MeInch deliver powerful guitar work and explosive choruses, tapping into themes of personal struggle and emotional desperation. InchRescue Me, Inch in particular, was inspired by lead singer Josh Todd's reading of A Child Called 'It' by Dave Pelzer, and addresses the trauma of child abuse and the hope of redemption. The song became one of the album's lead singles and a standout for it's raw, urgent energy and The album debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200, marking Buckcherry's highest chart position to date at the time. It was released in both standard and very limited deluxe edition.

A decade on from the of Ripely Pine, Lady Lamb's Aly Spaltro has created the definitive 5xLP box set to commemorate and expand upon her landmark debut. With the original songs remastered, Ten Years Of Ripely Pine also includes three LPs of newly recorded studio material, produced and arranged by Spaltro and mixed by original co-producer Nadim Issa. It captures the time, mood, art and ambition of Aly Spaltro in her early twenties, who had already accumulated years of playing and self-recording experience before laying down tracks for this giant of a debut record, and the sage wisdom of a decade's experience.

Even in the Tremor marks Aly Spaltro aka Lady Lamb's latest full-length album following 2015's After and it's a remarkable achievement because, among other things, it's the first time in her career that Spaltro is singing explicitly about herself. InchI've never let myself be this exposed before,Inch she says, Inchbut this whole album is about facing who you are and fighting your way toward self-acceptance.Inch Between confessing a tantrum in a batting cage (InchLittle FlawsInch), telling the story of her parent's kiddie-pool baptism (InchYoung DiscipleInch) and singing openly about untangling her girlfriend's wet hair (InchDeep LoveInch), this album is deeply rooted in the people and places, extraordinary and mundane, that have shaped Spaltro into the self-determining artist she is today. It took Spaltro almost a year to find the right co-producer. She initially attempted to make the record with an esteemed producer as she'd been advised but after being told that her arrangements needed rewriting by various veterans in the industry, Spaltro bravely changed direction and found a champion of her vision in Erin Tonkon, a less established producer whose six years working with Tony Visconti and later, David Bowie on his Grammy-winning Blackstar, made her more than qualified for the role. Benjamin Lazar Davis (Cuddle Magic, Kimbra, Okkervil River) played bass and piano and synthesizer. Jeremy Gustin (David Byrne, Albert Hammond Jr., Rubble Bucket) played drums. The group recorded at Figure 8 Studios in Brooklyn, New York. InchIt's taken me years to get here,Inch she says, Inchbut I'm sort of done with hiding myself. I want to be as honest as I can because that's why people turn to art. Anybody can tell the difference between bullshit and real vulnerability.Inch This commitment to creating only what is necessary and urgently felt is the key to appreciating Spaltro's fearless
