The instrument has appeared in more recordings, soundtracks, and advertisements than any sound effect ever made. The original Vibra-Slap was conceived as a durable replacement for the original, delicate rattling horse jawbone. This updated Vibra-Slap is constructed out of LP's proprietary Jenigor material that has been used in Jam Blocks for decades for its extreme durability. A new "Strike Zone" platform has also been added to allow the player to strike the Vibra-Slap with a drumstick when mounted on the Vibra-Slap Mount.
