I was looking for a simple camera system for use in a room in my home for my business. For review purposes, this is a rectangle room, front to back of a small Colonial type house. The wifi router is in the room. The LeapFrog monitor is in the room. I have had this for 4 days. Followed set up instructions. All was great the first day. I started with simple camera to monitor viewing, no wifi. Worked fine. Then I connected the wifi so I could use the app. All was well. Then each camera would start losing connection. Sometimes it would reset itself, and sometimes I have to shut everything off and redo it all. These cameras and viewer are in an open room, with no obstructions. I have moved them to several areas. They still go out. I disconnected wifi, to see if camera to viewer worked better since I don't actually need the app all the time. Still, cameras would go out at different times. Restart everything. Each day, the cameras start out fine, then will each lose a connection throughout the day. I have done all the troubleshooting. - When it works, it is just ok. The viewing reminds me of stop motion animation, so it isn't fluid. The picture is pretty clear, which is nice. You can view each camera on one screen, but it isn't in full this way. You have settings for each camera. One of the annoying things is once you set a camera the settings change without prompting. For example, I turn off the light on the camera since I don't need it. Goes off just fine, sits for awhile, and then the light will turn on again. Or, if the camera loses connection, or I turn it off, the settings go back to on. Same goes with the sound. I could mute the sound, and after a bit it will go back on. Settings should remain how I set them until I change them. They should not reset after time, or if the item is turned off. Positive is, when it works, it is nice aside from the lack of fluid viewing. I was skeptical when I ordered it, but I liked that I could use it without wifi since this monitoring involves children. Being off of wifi was a nice option. I would return it if I could. I don't recommend. At least not for a parent who may want reliable viewing of their child.
