In service with the British Army from 1976, the 105mm Light Field Gun was designed to provide greater range and lethality while retaining portability, capable of being towed by Army Land Rovers or carried as an underslung load beneath larger British helicopters. Produced in large numbers, these guns were widely exported and served with distinction during the Falklands War.
