This brand new 1/72 scale plastic model kit of the Gloster Meteor F.8/FR.9 Fighter Aircraft, produced by Airfix, comes in the manufacturer’s original unopened box with vintage-style packaging and is officially licensed. The kit contains 154 detailed parts molded in light gray, includes decals for designing the plane in two different schemes, and does not include a display stand. Paint and cement are required but not included. The assembled model measures approximately L-7.5, W-6.25 inches. The Gloster Meteor F.8 was an advanced version of the first British jet fighter, the only Allied jet to see combat during World War II, featuring a more powerful engine, improved aerodynamics, and upgraded armament, and saw extensive service with the RAF and allied air forces during the early Cold War. The FR.9 variant, a reconnaissance version, was used in the Malayan Emergency for ground attack and reconnaissance missions and served in air defense and ground attack roles during the Korean War.
