You will need to determine which connection works best for you based on what connections the device that you are connecting the Soundbar to has. HDMI is generally the best connection to use that will give you the best quality. DTS Virtual:X is not active at all times. It is one of the selectable Sound Effect modes. You will need to select the Sound Effect that best suits the room that you have the Soundbar installed in. You can also purchase the LG SPK8-S 2.0 Channel Sound Bar Wireless Rear Speaker Kit which will definitely give you the most immersive and room filling experience and upgrade the Soundbar to true surround sound via these add-on rear channel speakers. A: Not sure. Never tried. You can Bluetooth it to your phone so I wouldn’t see why it couldn’t Bluetooth to a tv. I think I’m going to try that later on today

Absolute Honesty
It feels wrong to give this Soundbar with sub anything lower than a 5. For its price I haven’t heard a better quality speaker. If you can get this at the $229 price than you are getting an absolute steal of a deal. Love this set makes my room feel like a movie theater with my 4K 50 inch. Games also sound amazing on this. Also very easy to set up, open it, plug it in, press a couple buttons on the remote to tweak the settings the way you like it and boom your home theater system is ready.

LG 2.1
The soundar overall of good sound quality. I have a Samsug 49in 4K TV and it sits perfectly in front of the tv. The wireless subwoofer has not dropped connection since I've purchased it weeks ago. The two negatives are the following: 1. the max volume is at 40 was expecting a much higher range. 2.The display could have been longer, as the words scroll across till the length of the word is covered.

Sounds good
I like this soundbar and its easy to use and set up. right now I have it Bluetooth connected to my laptop and It sounds so much better than the speakers on the laptop. And compared to my other soundbar on my tv this one sounds better and has better bass. The only issue is dropping the Bluetooth connection on occasion to the laptop.
