Questions & Answers
does remote have button for going to last channel? can remote be programed to turn on tv and cable box?
Answered by LG Digital Customer CareThe 2025 LG Magic Remote, Model # MR25GA, does not have a dedicated "Last Channel" or "Previous Channel" button. If you are connected to a Cable Set-top Box, that feature will be in the Guide Menu for the cable set-top box. The remote itself cannot be programmed to turn on a TV and a cable Set-Top box. That is a function of the TV. If your cable set-top box is connected to an HDMI input on a TV, and both the HDMI input on the TV and on the cable set-top box are HDMI - CEC compliant, that feature lets your devices communicate with each other over an HDMI cable, allowing you to use one remote for basic controls like power and volume. With HDMI - CEC, the cable set-top box will turn on or off when your turn the TV On/Off. Many modern cable set-top boxes (such as Xfinity X1 and Verizon Fios) support HDMI-CEC. Major providers like Xfinity and Verizon Fios usually enable this feature by default to automatically switch your TV to the correct HDMI input when you turn on the set-top box...^Ivan.
