Q: This is a smart washer - will it function properly if not used connected to wifi? We live in a rural area and we don't have wifi.

A: This washing machine does not need wi-fi to function properly. Although my house has wifi, we did not connect the washer to it. The only reason one would connect the machine to wifi, is if they are connecting it to their cell phone, Once the app is downloaded, users can control certain functions via their phone. I opted not to have it connected to my phone since I prefer to set it manually, and it works just fine!

Q: How tall is the washer on the LG pedestal?

A: Washer WM4200HWA has a height of 39" and the pedestal height is 13-5/8. The combined height is 52.63". ^Daphane

Q: Does this machine come with a power cord included? I chose the install option and it auto-selected some parts, none of which are a power cord. The matching dryer requires a power cord to be bought separately.

A: Yes, the washer comes with a power cord. The power cord of this appliance is equipped with a 3-prong (grounding) plug which mates with a standard 3-prong (grounding) Plug the washer into a 120 V, 60 Hz grounded 3-prong outlet. ^Daphane

Q: Does it have a small load function?

A: Unlike top loading washers the front loading doesn't fill drum with water, but use a little water for any type of the load. By the way this machine is a smart enough to determine washing time and load. This is a 3rd time when I bought large LG washer, never complained about operating performance. And yes, those large LG washers (5.0 + cub. ft.) all made in Korea.

Q: Are there "quick wash" or "speed wash" options? If so, what are the typical run times for those cycles?

A: I don't do the washing but I did notice my wife after I told her that there was quick settings it could be adjusted anywhere I believe from like 26 minutes to 36 minutes obviously I'm giving you a rough estimate but at least you can know that it does have quick wash settings.

Q: On which side is door hinged?

A: The dryer can be hinged either way. The washer cannot be hinged either way. The washer hinge is on the left.

Q: Does this model (4200) have the 6 motion technology? I have tried to find it on the description/spec and on the washer's manual and don't see it. If it doesn't, what kind of agitation does it use to clean the clothes?

Q: Will liquid detergent stay in the holder and not drain into the drum while a pre-wash cycle is running?

A: When using the Pre-wash option, liquid detergent for the main wash needs to be loaded in the liquid detergent cup accessory in the main wash dispenser (where applicable), to prevent it from being dispensed with the pre-wash detergent. ^Daphane
