We had a Dyson and loved it and saw the LG cordless and loved how lightweight it was and the reviews were great. I'm thrilled with this vacuum! My husband said it's the best vacuum we've ever had! The LG has two batteries, which is great, so you always have a charge; however, we've only needed power from the one battery. You can have it on the floor or hang it on the wall, which is what we did. It's so functional and love it for the car, sudden messes, etc. Great product and highly recommend.

---HIGHLIGHTS--- Cordless and Bagless Design, Lightweight and Easy to Maneuver, Two Removable Rechargeable Batteries, Strong Suction, Quiet Operation, Premium Build Quality ---Setup--- The components intuitively snap together and are very easily configured. Once I did it a few times, it is very easy to figure out. There are three possible storage configurations: Standing, Wall Mount, and Compact Standing. I am using standing because it allows store it upright on the floor. If you use the wall mount configuration be sure to mount it near an outlet because it needs to be charging while being stored. ---DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE--- This vacuum can be cleverly used as either a stick or handheld vacuum. In the standard floor mode the steering and maneuverability are amazing. The low profile adjustable size and cordless design reaches places that are very difficult to reach with a corded vacuum. It comes with a nice assortment of crevice tools that can be used to reach the tight spaces. Even though this vacuum is battery powered it has very strong suction that cleans very deeply. I was impressed at how much dirt it was able to clean. The suction is adjustable but be aware if using it in turbo mode drains the battery much faster. I found the standard suction setting to be sufficient for most cleaning tasks. It is very quiet for a vacuum. The dust container very easy to empty. . A feature I really appreciate is that it includes two rechargeable batteries. One battery goes in the vacuum and the other goes in the stand and they are both charge while being stored. Having two fully charged batteries allows for a total of 80 minutes of cleaning time (40 minutes per battery). The crevice tools are stored in the stand. I like this design because it keeps the tools out of the way when I don’t need them I don’t have to worry about them falling off while I vacuum. It features indicator lights that show the battery charge level and the charging status. All of the filters are removable, reusable, and all rinseable. The premium build quality and high end visual appeal are exactly what you would expect at this price point.. ---SUMMARY---: Welcome to the wonderful world of Cordless Vacuuming. I have used many cordless handheld vacuums over the years but they can’t be compared this vacuum. The strong suction and lightweight size and portability put the LG CordZero in a league of its own. It is perfect for big or small jobs around the house, and for hitting areas like the stairs or around corners where a corded vacuum is difficult to use. There is a lot to like about the LG CordZero. Not only is it portable and lightweight, but it has enough power to handle any cleaning job you throw at it. Normally cordless vacuums are best when used as a supplement to a full size corded one, but I can say without reservation that the LG CordZero will have no problem taking the place of a full size standard corded vacuum in your home.

Before this vacuum, I was a die hard Shark fan. Their vacuums perform so well on hard floors which is what we have mostly. Unfortunately I had a little bit of an accident with my Shark vacuum that involved me tripping in the bathroom with the vacuum wand in my hand and it going right into the toilet. Though I was able to dry out the vacuum and clean it up, it was no longer performing as it used to. Time for another one. I was skeptical that the LG was going to do the trick, but the thing that attracted me to it was the hard floor vacuum head. It was almost identical to my Shark vacuum but larger and seemingly easier to clean. I decided to try it out and to my surprise, it did really well. Here are the pros and cons: PROS -Plush hard floor head that dusts as well as vacuums -Carpet and rug head agitates the carpets really well for as lightweight as this vacuum is. -Lightweight -2 batteries are included, though I have never had to switch them out yet. -Good running time. I have a 1200 square foot condo and I have no issues cleaning with one battery charge. -Compact charging station with options to hang it up or let it free-stand. -Much quieter than most vacuums -Easy to empty and clean the vacuum itself. CONS -You have to switch out the heads when you are switching from hard floors to carpets. My old vacuum just required a button switch. -It failed the "Cheerio" test. It would not pick up anything Cheerio size or larger. Because of this, I put this vacuum more in the "maintenance" category. It's not for heavy duty cleaning. More like in between cleanings. -The assembly you have to do beforehand is a little intimidating. See pictures. -The dust canister is pretty small. Another reason that this fits into the "maintenance" category. -Does not stand up on it's own. Not a deal breaker but it's a little annoying to have to lean it up against the wall or set it on the floor when you need to drop it for a minute. -It's pretty pricey for what you are getting. I like the vacuum but I'm just not convinced it's worth the money especially with other brands out there that can do the same thing for a lower price.

We saw that LG was coming out with a stick type vac and wanted to give it a try. We have had multiple stick type vacs the last few years, this new one from LG is pretty pricey and up there with the Dyson vacs so we were interested to see if this one is as good. Unboxing and setting up: The vacuum is very well packed, with all individual components wrapped and protected. There are quite a few parts in the box and it took a bit to get everything ready to assemble. The first thing we did was assemble the stand, the base simply clicks into the upright, and then the top piece snaps into the other end. The power adapter plugs into the back of the stand and the power hooks into two clips on the back of the stand. It’s a pretty nice setup and I wish the other ones we have had a stand like this. There’s space in the stand for the second battery, and it will charge while in the stand, there’s a blinking LED on the front indicating its charging. No assembling the vacuum itself is pretty easy; just inset the main unit into the extension and then then the motorized head into the other end. Then take the battery and insert it into the bottom of the main unit. It’s very simple to insert and remove the battery, and impossible to put it in the wrong direction. We have a Shark that has a removable battery and I’m constantly inserting it the wrong direction as there’s really no marking on which way it goes, just have to remember which direction it goes in, “not a big deal but the LG design is better. There are also a couple attachments included, a crevice tool and a combination tool. It’s nice that the charging stand holds both tools, makes them easy to keep track of. Actual use: Now to give this new LG vacuum a good test we didn’t vacuum for four days “we normally vacuum every couple days and our Shark runs daily”, so for us it was ready. We have one dog that sheds quite a bit so vacuuming often is a must. Now starting up the vac is simple, the controls are simply laid out and within thumbs reach. Pressing the power button turns it on it normal mode and I noticed right away that this would be good for bare floors there isn’t enough suction for getting our low pile carpet clean. I used the “Power” mode, “second of the three”, and it started cleaning as I expected and felt close to our Dyson V7. Pushing this around is very similar to our Dyson V7, it’s very maneuverable, but the Shark Ion’s motorized head is almost self-propelled and easier to push around, it also has lights built into the head and makes it much easier to see just where you are cleaning, “I do wish other manufacturers would do this”. The Shark on the other hand is heavier and you can feel the difference especially when having a long cleaning session. I found that the battery lasted right at 12 minutes on the middle “Power” mode, so using both batteries I was able to clean our whole house, right around 1600sqft “1400 of that being carpet”, “our Shark does most of it on one battery and it comes with two also”. I was pretty impressed with how much this vacuum picked up, I had to empty the dust bin 3 times. It’s pretty small and holds probably 2/3rd s of what the Shark does and pretty much the same as the Dyson. There was plenty of dog hair and fine dust in the bin with each emptying. The one thing was that the dog hair balled up and had a tendency to get stuck in the bin, if I couldn’t get it out I found that grabbing the end of the “Dust Separator”, give it a counter clockwise twist and pull it out would dump all the stuck dog hair. There’s really not enough room between the separator and the bin to get your finger in there to clean it out. I’ve never had that problem with the Dyson, and occasionally have a stuck wad of hair in the Shark but there’s enough room to get my hand in to pull that out. Now after everything was gone over very well, and I went over everything twice and to the point I wasn’t getting anything else in the bin I switched over to our Shark Ion. I went over the exact same areas as I did with the LG, and only went over the areas one time on regular “carpet” mode. I was sort of disappointed when I got almost a full container in the Shark which to me means the LG wasn’t pulling as much dirt “or hair” out of the carpet as the Shark. But I was willing to give the LG another chance. I let the batteries charge fully and then cleaned everything again, but this time on “Turbo” mode. This time the LG actually picked up some more dirt after going over everything I did with the LG and Shark before “so the carpet was very clean at this point”, it didn’t pick up a lot, maybe a 1/3 of a dust bin, but it did pick up some more dirt. So if I want the same level of cleaning as the Shark I’ll have to run the LG on “Turbo” in the carpeted areas. On turbo mode the battery lasted exactly 6 minutes, so using two I’ll be able to get most of the house, and I’ll use the turbo mode only in the heavy traffic areas and then use the power mode in non-traffic areas and normal mode on the tile floors. Conclusion: I do like this new LG, it really reminds me of the Dyson V7, and it’s lighter than the Shark by a good bit. Its cleaning ability is equal to the V7 and can match the Shark if I use turbo mode and vary the power modes to extend the battery life “I don’t have to do this with the shark there’s plenty of juice from its single battery to clean most of the house. I really like the charging stand and while the manual shows attaching it to the wall I didn’t see a need for it as it hasn’t tipped over yet and seems sturdy enough without using their wall mount/stabilizing piece. Cleaning up the unit is really easy and I like how the dust separator comes out of the main unit and you can wash it off if it’s really dirty. The main filters are easily replaceable by twisting the top of the motor housing and removing it. The top of the motor housing has the exhaust filter in it, it’s washable but you cannot remove it from the lid and the whole piece would have to be replaced once worn. The pre-filter lifts right out and is also washable, and LG was kind enough to include a second filter. The Shark has three filters and are also very easy to get to and are all washable and replacing them when worn is cheap. I did notice too that there wasn’t any hair stuck to the brush of the carpet power nozzle of the LG. I have long hair and always pick a few hairs out of the brush of the Shark after every cleaning. There were absolutely none stuck to the LG's brush roller which amazed me. If you are looking for a really good vacuum that cleans very well, “you just have to figure out which power settings work best for you”. The LG feels like it’s really well built, isn’t flimsy and the extension tube is adjustable so you can adjust it to your height and to help reach out of the way places when using the tools. I really like the adjust-ability as my husband uses it extended most of the way out and I use it about half extended, I can’t do that with any of the other stick vacs we have. If you have mainly hard floors with area rugs this new LG will be perfect for you. It has plenty of cleaning power and the batteries last plenty long if you don’t have to use turbo mode. If you have thick or heavy pile carpet and a lot of it then this probably isn’t the best choice for you.

What you get with the LG CordZero A9: Vacuum engine, power carpet nozzle, extension wand, charging station, AC/DC adapter, 2 25.5V lithium batteries, 2 filters, crevice tool, 2 in 1 brush, nozzle storage and installation materials. I used the freestanding setup and it was very easy to assemble. It is compact and will fit in most areas. It appears to be very sturdy so far both with and without the vacuum attached to the stand. I really like that everything is conveniently stored together. The spare nozzles snap into the upright base. One battery is in the vacuum and one is in the upright base. Both batteries charge at the same time. You can also install the station attached to a wall if desired. I tried the various tool attachments as well as the power carpet nozzle. The extension wand is adjustable which is very convenient. The unit if fairly light in the hand; and, easy to maneuver. It is also relatively quiet compared to another stick vacuum I have. The speed is adjustable and there is an on off button. So you do not have to hold the power on. I did the entire 2000 sq. ft. house on turbo setting and used about a battery and a half. Battery usage is significantly less on non-turbo setting. You can tell this is a well-built unit. I was very interested in how this will work on dog hair. We have a black lab that sheds all the time. The vacuum did a great job of sucking up the dog hair! This is more effective that our other stick vacuum. However, the dirt reservoir became full quickly and had to be emptied numerous times. Also, there is not much clearance between the cyclone mesh filter and the side of the dirt reservoir. So the hair became stuck in this location. There is a specific way to clean this area I describe later. This was not as convenient as it could be. If there was a little more clearance, the hair would have been more east to remove. This was a result of emptying the vacuum in the same manner as my other stick vac. Little did I know there was a more effective way to empty the vacuum. The proper way to empty the dust bin (per the manual) is: 1) Open the dust bin over the garbage using the release button. Empty the debris. 2) Insert the crevice tool into the large dust separator and turn counter clockwise. This will release the dust separator and the entire dust bin can be cleaned using the combination tool. 3) The large dust separator can be cleaned in water and set aside to dry. It was easy to clean once I read the manual (see pictures). Overall I give this vacuum 5 stars. It is a very effective stick vacuum with much versatility. It is light and easy to use. The suction can be easily regulated from a normal setting to turbo mode. The two batteries allowed for the cleaning of a 2000 sq. ft. home with both tile and carpet. It is easy to store using the freestanding mode or attaching it to a wall. Everything is conveniently together in one place. And with a 10 year warranty on the motor, I recommend this to everyone.

I am thoroughly impressed with the power of this stick vac being that it is light, small, and battery operated. Our home is roughly 1,800 sq ft and with the two supplied batteries, there is more than enough juice to get the entire house done easily. The top floor of our home is all hardwood and tile, the basement, all carpet. With the supplied attachments (and there are many) you can tackle any vacuuming job that may arise and not break your back doing it. Packaging was superb as seen in my photo. All parts were wrapped separately and in perfect condition upon arrival. Assembly was also very straight-forward. All parts go together in an easy to understand system. Once you change rollers/attachments a few times you will have it down with no problems. The design of this product is not only cool looking, but also makes it super easy to operate. One thing that stumped me at first was that I thought the vacuum’s reach was a little short until I realized that the main tube in-between the head and roller also unlocks and extends. Another tip is to lay all parts on the floor when changing, as opposed to propping them against your leg, or a wall. For example, if you are vacuuming the floor and then want to eject the main tube and floor roller to replace with only the head and crevice tool, the main tube and floor roller (especially on hard floors) will most likely fall if propped up. Be careful with that! This vacuum is light and also stows in a really nice and tidy fashion. You can either mount it to a wall, or use the weighted base. Both options are included and will hold the main head unit (while it charges), the middle extension wand, one floor roller, and both small crevice tools. This means that the other roller and power punch tool (more on that later) will unfortunately just have to hang out somewhere nearby. Even though this vacuum is light, it still feels very well made and all parts click and attach with authority. Quiet! This is much quieter than your typical plug-in vacuum. Even on turbo mode, I find that the volume is very acceptable. Turbo mode is started with the press of a button and gives you some extra oomph when you need it. Alternately, you can press the “minus” button located next to the turbo mode button to slow down the power a little. This actually works quite well for things like dried food spills, or cat litter. The larger plug-in vacuums seem to just throw those types of messes everywhere. Maintenance is really easy with this vacuum as well. The debris container ejects and empties easily. If you find that the filters are extremely dirty, you can simply take them out and wash them to keep the unit in tip top running order. I would recommend setting a personal reminder to check and clean the filters once a month. All filters can be removed with minimal effort. Again, the excellent design plays a part in the ease of maintenance. The kit includes a hard floor roller, a carpet roller, and a really cool nozzle called a “power punch nozzle.” The punch nozzle actually vibrates dust and debris to pull it free. This works great on furniture and gives it an extra deep clean. One really big thing worth mentioning is that you can use the head and a roller together (without the middle tube) to easily clean carpeted stairs. This is a huge bonus for us since our stairs are carpet. Gone are the days of using heavy cumbersome vacuums that have to be propped up somehow while vacuuming stairs. Just awesome! Finally, cleaning power. At first I was worried that it wouldn’t clean carpeting very well because it was so light, but that notion was put to rest when I viewed the debris container. We have been using a bigger Shark plug-in vacuum on the basement carpets regularly so when I saw the debris container filling up, I knew all was well. All in all my family really enjoys using the LG CordZero system. We like it so much that we have since put the Sharks back in the ocean… errr... out in the garage. PROS: Excellent cleaning power, plus turbo mode Plenty of rollers, heads, and crevice tools for all types of areas All parts assemble and disassemble very easily All filters are washable Includes two batteries and one extra washable dust filter Head unit displays battery power with three bars Excellent battery life Lightweight Quiet CONS: No place to store two out of the three floor attachments on the stand Main wand and floor attachment (if left together) will easily tip over on hard floors

The LG CordZero Vacuum is a great addition to my cleaning arsenal. I have a robo-vac that will do scheduled cleaning weekly, but I’ve been wanting to get an actual vac that I can use on stairs and in tight spots that the robo vac doesn’t always get, and my roomies clunky traditional vac doesn’t travel well. When it arrived two days before Christmas, I actually got excited, so I opened it up. Assembly was a breeze, you have the motor unit, the extension wand, and the powered brush unit, two attachments, a charge base with stand that you can customize to mount on a wall or use as a stand-alone charging base for both the vac and spare battery. My configuration is the stand alone base. I wasn’t aware that it came with two batteries, which is smart. Luckily one battery covers the house, and I haven’t had to swap during my cleaning spree. What I absolutely LOVE about this vac, is that it is SO lightweight, and easy to use on stairs, seeing how I live in a townhouse, and there’s three flights of stairs, carrying it around isn’t a problem at all. It works very well, and hits all the major spots in the house that need swept. The cannister is easy to remove, and filters are easy to clean and replace (it comes with a spare filter as well) The canister isn’t large, but I haven’t filled it to the brim yet, and do empty it after each use. It works very well on hard wood floors, and you can control the suction power, which is nice. The default is a lower setting, and I usually turn it up a notch, occasionally using the turbo setting (holding down the plus button for a few seconds). My only real complaint is that the powered brush unit is a little odd to work with on carpet, as I get a lot of resistance from it at first, until I find the right rhythm. But it cleans both surfaces well enough. I eventually want to get around to using it in my car (yes. It is THAT portable). My roommates are impressed with it, and while I would have liked the grey color, matte red looks good in the house!

I’ve been after a great battery powered stick vacuum for awhile and I think I just found it! The LG Cord Zero is one of those vacuums that does everything I need it to do at or above average. There’s others out there that might be really good at hardwood floors but not great on carpet, or really lightweight but has no battery life. Or maybe amazing on carpet but useless on your laminate or hard surfaces, but this puppy can do it all well. Below I’ll go over my first impressions and full circle testing I ran this vac through and what I like or didn’t like along the way. Right off the bat I have to say, I actually really liked the packaging this vacuum came in. I’m usually not a guy who gets excited or talks about packaging and I think unboxing videos are a waste of time, but this is worth mentioning. It’s not that it was all sleek and sexy looking, but that it also served a purpose. It made opening and setting up the vacuum a lot easier and stress free. A simple few graphics on top explain how to remove the multiple smaller containers and easily allows you to set out all the pieces in front of you before assembly. I know none of that matters for the performance of the vacuum but it was worth noting. Along with that is the “cheat sheet” inside the packaging. There’s a nice paper size card with a suction cup attached to the corner that has the basic assembly instructions as well as how to unclog the lines and filters and a few other useful tips. This also just so happens to stick nicely to the charging dock/stand so you can always find it. So let’s talk about that stand. After opening and putting everything together in a few minutes with no tools needed I started looking to charge the batteries. (always charge your batteries before use for ANY electronics you buy!) The stand can be wall mounted or self standing, but I did not wall mount yet because we haven’t decided what room to keep it in, so for now the self supporting stand is working amazing. There’s a nice cord management system on the back side for the charging port power and a decent amount of cord length to reach an outlet. It is a big wall wart plug as expected so it’ll take up a bit of space around your outlet, but that is understandable. The nice part is there’s a compartment inside the stand to charge the 2nd battery. Oh yeah, that’s right, this cordless vacuum actually comes with both batteries! I’ve had others from other brands that make you buy the spare batteries so this is a big plus. Combined with the battery life, these two batteries will be plenty for most homes. So as I got the spare battery in the stand and plugged into the wall, I assembled the vacuum itself and really like the feel and detail that went into the design. There’s a really good balance to the unit made possible by moving the stick part to the middle of the vacuum body vs the top or bottom and inside the handle is a small but powerful plastic piece that sits between your fingers and helps your grip as you are using the vacuum above your head to clean curtains etc or holding it out in front. Again, it’s a simple thing, but makes all the difference. I feel like that’s the theme to this vacuum. Then those little things add up and make it a better value than any other you can get. Once the vacuum was assembled with the battery in the vacuum, I slid the unit onto the stand and it started charging the battery inside the vacuum. Indicator lights on the vacuum showed it was charging and a small LED on the stand showed me the spare was charging as well. I didn’t pay attention to the time exactly but after a few hours I noticed it was fully charged and decided to take it for a spin. As I set up to use the vacuum for the first time after a brief scanning of the manual for proper use and any red flags or warnings I should watch for, I noticed the stick arm has a simple but useful (see, there it is again) feature that allows you to adjust the length of the stick without adding or removing extension pieces. This is possible because it has a telescoping style stick adjustable by simply pulling or pushing the “trigger” on the stick and sliding the stick open or close. This brings me to MAYBE one con of the vacuum, although it’s not affecting me personally. I am not very tall (at 5’5”) but I feel like when the vacuum is fully extended it is just long enough for my height. I don’t know if it would be a little short for taller people or if adjusting your angle would make it usable at any height. It just felt a little “short” while I was using it. I started vacuuming my tile kitchen with really deep grout lines (pronounced bad grout lines) and some glitter and dog fur (long haired dachshunds shed everywhere) and general dirt that shows up on the kitchen floor. The glitter was from Christmas decorations and if you know what I’m talking about then you know how much of a pain that glitter can be to clean. I was very happy with the performance of the vacuum and it seemed to get all the little glitter pieces and fur with the first or maybe second pass. The power brush really works well even on the hard surface and doesn’t shoot the large pieces out the back like I’ve had with other vacuums. After working so well on tile, I headed over to my laminate wood floor in the living room and had just as good results and noticed the power brush width is just a little smaller than my other vacuums which allows me to get into a few more tight areas easier without sacrificing quality. So it works great on tile and fake wood floors (on low speed btw) but what about carpet or that long shag rug you have? Well, I went straight from the laminate floor to the shag rug we have in our living room and it did not lag or power off like my shark vacuum does but I did notice the motor sounded a little choked so I hit the plus button and moved to the medium speed (I assume this is the default for good carpet cleaning) and the motor sounded better and the shag was getting pulled up nicely and looked like the day we bought it. But this is a vacuum test, let’s crank it to 11 and see. I decided to empty the bin and do the same rug on turbo (the highest setting which REALLY gets some deep cleaning but battery life will suffer drastically) I did the entire rug on turbo and that’s when the rug really looked new. I didn’t notice a ton more “big chunks” but there was definitely some smaller dirt pieces that got picked up during the turbo that the high speed missed. This also made my battery die however and unless I was doing a quick spot cleaning, I’m not sure I would use turbo just because the battery drain vs the gained performance isn’t worth it in my mind. That doesn’t mean turbo isn’t useful, but maybe more for when you just dropped a bag of flour vs when you’re doing a top to bottom house cleaning. Moving on, I swapped batteries and moved to my carpeted floor and stairs. I love how the power brush head fits perfectly on a standard stair step. I removed the stick and put the brush head right on the vacuum body and got a great clean on my carpeted stairs and went right up to my carpet bedrooms. On high, (which is the middle power. There is low, high and turbo) the vacuum cleaned up the carpets real nice again and left those satisfying vacuum tracks in its wake. So after testing this LG vac on all the surfaces I have and multiple levels of dirty, I am really satisfied with this product. Having a dog with long hair that seems to get everywhere, I love that I can just grab this vacuum off the stand and spot clean any pile of dog hair or dirt I see quickly and easily and go on with my day. It used to be I’d spot a cobweb or pet hair clump and think “I need to remember to get that when I vacuum next” but I couldn’t always get the vacuum out, unwrap the cord, plug it in, switch out the tools and clean that spot just to put it all away again all in a speedy fashion. Now I don’t wait, I just grab the LG, fire it up, then put it back on the stand. A couple last few notes on this vacuum; cleaning and maintenance is simple but important. I’ve had a few stick vacuums from different brands but they all require filter cleaning to maintain performance. The nice difference here is LG includes a second filter so there’s no excuses to keep your filters clean, when one is drying you can use the spare. And remember that cheat sheet I mentioned? The steps to clean your filters is also there so LG makes it easy to double check how to clean and keep your vacuum running smoothly. If you take care of this vacuum it will take care of you and your house. So let those dogs and cats and kids and anything else that makes messes run free knowing you can clean up any mess quickly and easily with your LG Cord Zero. CREDENTIALS: Why does my opinion matter? I am a guy who stays at home all day and handles 99% of the household cleaning so my wife doesn’t have to. I actually enjoy using vacuums and learning about how they work and why they work. I’ve had many stick vacuums from all the big names and even some regrettable cheap ones from the clearance racks. I watch reviews and testing videos for fun and I work hard to keep my house clean and expect my tools to work hard too.

We recently decided on the LG CordZero Cordless Stick vacuum after having two other high end and high price cordless stick vacuums from another manufacturer over the past 3-4 years. The main reason for the recent change was because the battery in our last stick vacuum wasn’t lasting as long after pretty heavy use. Out of the box, the assembly was very easy and I didn’t even have to pull out the instructions to figure out what needed to be put together. The storage bracket and option for a stand are easy to set up and also fit in small spaces; I fit mine between the washing machine and sink (see picture). Our favorite feature of the LG vacuum is the fact that there are two interchangeable batteries included with this that you can change out immediately after one dies which really comes in handy for heavier use. LG claims these two batteries will run for 80 minutes and I assume that’s at the slowest speed. A few other features that are a selling point and step up from our previous manufacturer’s vacuums I have used is the lack of a trigger button and instead uses a regular power on/off switch along with a plus/minus button conveniently located where your thumb sits to easily increase or decrease the suction. Also, if you hold the plus button for three seconds it turns on a turbo mode for increased strength. I have used the vacuum on hard floors, short and long carpet, area rugs, runners, floor mats and my car and didn’t have any issues using the vacuum or any of its accessories. I tried on many occasions to get the vacuum and spinning brush to freeze up on the carpets like my last two stick vacuums would do often and it did not stop nearly as often. The other thing I noticed compared to the other stick vacuums I own is the LG is very quiet in comparison however still feels like it has similar suction power. Cleaning the bin and maintaining the vacuum is very simple as well as shown in the FAQ card provided and in my pictures. You can also feel the durability of the vacuum, how well made it is and the sleek look of it. To top that all off, it comes with a 10 year warranty. Overall, I have been very pleased with the LG CordZero Stick vacuum, even more than the competitors vacuums I have used at the same price point, given what’s included with the LG, the overall ease of use, comfort and features.

In the box you get a stand, two batteries, spare filter, dusting brush, crevice tool, carpet attachment, wood floor attachment and a pet hair attachment. There is some assembly required, but the Initial setup was easy. The stand can store almost everything that came in the box but can only hold 2 of the 3 vacuum heads. It would have been nice for the stand to accommodate all the accessories. The entire setup is fairly small and fits easily in the corner of our laundry room. The initial charge didn’t take long and we were up and running in no time at all. It’s very light, especially when compared to a plug-in vacuum, and my wife loves how easy it is to carry around the house and up and down the stairs. Placing and removing the vacuum from the stand is easy and when you’re ready to start you can telescope the wand to help your back out! When you turn the vacuum on there are two power settings, standard and turbo. The difference between the two modes is noticeable in both noise and suction, but the overall noise level is much lower than a corded vacuum cleaner. We have a few cats so cat hair can be an issue at times. The pet hair attachment works well on loosening and picking up pet hair but we found it needs to be on turbo to suck up hair through the attachment. Standard suction works well on our wood floors but sometimes the turbo is needed to get larger particles, and turbo is especially useful on carpeted surfaces. The only problem with the turbo mode is the limited battery life. Although there are two batteries, a longer battery life would be more helpful and much appreciated. Overall we love the vacuum and my wife is especially happy with it. It would be nice if the stand accommodated all the accessories, but it’s not a deal killer as we can just put the 3rd head on a shelf. While battery life on turbo is an issue, we can currently clean our 2600 sq. ft. house using both batteries. That will probably change as the battery ages, but we will deal with that when the time comes.

I want to keep my review simple and short, easy to understand and easy to read it completely. Packaging It comes in very organized packaging and it has everything you will ever need: two batteries, charging stand, two (washable) filters, power brush, carpet and wood floor attachments. About device itself First it’s very light and very powerful as I mentioned above. Then very importantly it has two removable batteries (one can be charged while other is used, and each will gave you about half hour worktime), and charging stand which is used for storing the vacuum and charging the batteries. Vacuum has 3 different power levels which can be adjusted/activated manually, on the handle bellow the power switch. Smart inverter motor in this vacuum has amazing 10 years warranty, and vacuum has the most convenient adjustable pipe ever (where it had been all my life?). Easy to store on charging stand. Personal experience Great vacuum, one that every house with stairs should have one of these. This device is very light and easy to carry but at same time very powerful and will meet all of your expectations when it comes to cleaning. In just 5 minutes of work it picked so much dust that I couldn’t believe it. We got no pets and house has laminate and hardwood flooring with area few rugs, and we clean whole house as often as possible. Where did this dust come from (see my images) I had no idea, and when your visually “clean house” turned to have this much of dust you must be shocked. That being said this device is doing incredibly good job and turned to beat all expectations we had. I would recommend this vacuum to people with allergy problems and pet owners, I am sure it will make a difference for your health. When I first received this product I was very impressed with the packaging and the amazing quality of materials used in the product. I really love the swappable batteries for longer vacuum times if needed, although one battery was plenty enough to cover the whole house as well as go over the bedding with the included power brush tool which worked amazingly well. All of the attachments worked perfectly as expected. The only somewhat annoying thing is how the dust bin works when emptying where I feel like you will definitely get dirty when opening it as well as making a mess if it's not directly over the trash bin. I am very impressed with the self-standing charging station it's definitely helpful if you do not want holes in your wall, the directions say to still use the mounting hardware and double sided tape that is included but I didn't and it hasn't tipped or came close to giving me a feeling that it even needs that stuff. This product comes with a spare pre-filter so when one is rinsed and drying you can still vacuum while waiting for the other to dry which is a nice and thoughtful of them. I also love the adjustable wand which is adjustable into four different positions which is super nice and when lowered and on the charging stand looks super tiny and doesn't take up that much space. The low power mode worked fine I just preferred to use it on power mode, I tried out turbo mode to make sure it works and it does but power mode just seems the best. The vacuum works perfectly and isn't that noisy, it's tolerable and comparable to any other stick vacuum, turbo is a bit loud obviously but I am pleased with how quiet it is. Overall I would recommend this vacuum.

"Stick" (handheld) vacuums started to appear a few years ago, and initially were sold only at the highest prices by one or two makers. The technology has trickled down over time and now many are making these, including LG. The CordZero A9 resembles many other similar type vacuums (including the higher price). The model version I got came with many accessories (they vary depending on price), including a stand/wall mount, standard (carpet) nozzle, soft hard floor nozzle, and a "power punch" nozzle for use on furniture that allegedly knocks dust mites and other items loose. It also came with two batteries, which you will NEED to get any type of serious cleaning done. All variations will come with an extension rod and crevice attachment. The CordZero is not heavy, weighing only a few pounds - less than floor models. But it is important to note that even being lighter weight, you are holding this in front of you with no self-driving motor head, so those who are weaker in the arms, the elderly, or those with mobility issues should keep this in mind. Assembly seems overwhelming when unpacking, but is actually quite easy. The main motor unit, extension rod, and your choice of nozzle snap into each other quickly and once your batteries are charged, you are ready to go. If you have the two battery package with stand, it will charge one battery within the unit itself while also charging the second battery within the base/stand. Indicator lights let you know how much of a charge are in them. There are three levels of suction power when using the LG, controlled with a simple button selection on the handle. "Normal mode" gives you roughly 30-40 minutes per battery; I found this to be decent, but not quite as powerful as an inexpensive floor vacuum model. "Power Mode" does much better at extracting dirt, but at best, you only get 9 (NINE) minutes of power from the battery. Last, you have "Turbo Mode", the strongest, for tough areas, and you can expect no more than about 6 minutes of run time per full battery charge. This is the weakness of this machine - battery life. The CordZero is built VERY well, handles fine, and without a cord, is handy to use. But in my use/experience, I had to use it on the Power Mode to get a good clean, and again, at only about 9 minutes of battery, even with two batteries, you really can't do a full house using that level of power. Once you get a good, deep, clean, you can get by using the Normal Mode for longer run time here and again, but not every time. The softer nozzle head is good for hardwoods and vinyl flooring and did well. The power attachment "thumps" your furniture, and while I don't have super vision to see if it ticked off any dust mites, it seemed to clean well in that regard. The filters keep crud from going back into your home's air, and are washable. The dust/dirt bin is unfortunately very small, and doing several rooms, you will most likely find yourself having to empty it more than once to keep suction going well. In some ways I could give this vacuum 4 stars for it's looks, build quality, and handiness. But the dismal battery life on all but the weakest mode causes me to knock points off for it, especially for it's (high) price tag. I would recommend this model (on sale) for people who have limited carpet in their homes - a mixture of hard surfaces and carpet, or area rugs on top of harder flooring. I would not recommend it for those who have an entirely carpeted house. If LG would increase the size of the dirt bin and figure out a way to increase battery life on the middle setting, I'd give it a more enthusiastic thumbs-up. So I recommend it - but with the conditions/observations listed above only.

This is an amazing vacuum. I have been using another vacuum for a few years that I had recently purchased a new battery for due to it no longer keeping a charge. I love that this one comes with 2 batteries that are easy to change. One battery stays stored in the base charging while I use the vacuum. The inclusion of the base is also great since it give me more places to store it without having to mount to the wall. A wall mount is also included too though. The amount of attachments that it comes with is perfect. I have used both the carpet and floor attachments and both worked perfectly. The unit is pretty quiet also and the clean up has been easy. There are two things I really love about this vacuum. The first is the handle extends which is great since I am a foot and a half taller than my wife and both of us can use it easily. The 2nd thing I love is you don't have to hold down a trigger to use the machine. This definitely feels like it will last me a few years which is what I would expect from something in this price range.

Thing broke in less than 14 month's. For the price you'd expect better quality and longevity from a product.

Being the owner of an LG washer and dryer and several other LG electronics products my expectations were high for the LG CordZero A9. The CordZero A9 comes nicely packed in a sturdy box with multiple sections for all of the accessories and mounting options. The unboxing process was actually quite exciting because of the number of items in the box. Once unpacked your next decision after a quick assembly and test is to decide on the wall mount or floor stand option. I chose the floor stand option which also includes a piece to attach to the wall once assembled for stability purposes. With the floor stand option, you are using the wall mount section with a base and an additional pole that gives you the option to slide a holder on for an additional large accessory. I chose to place the hard surface attachment on the extra holder but was hoping the upholstery accessory would also have a spot. The two smaller accessories have a nice spot on the underside of the wall mount unit to reside on and click into place with the button needing to be pushed on them to release them, in the same manner, you would remove them from the vacuum. Upon the onset of using the CordZero A9 it was evident I would have to wait for the batteries to charge before using it at all. The next day when I excitedly went to get my new CordZero A9 I inspected the standard (carpet) vacuum attachment and was very impressed with the brush mechanism quality. I immediately thought it would be very effective and thought it was higher quality construction than any other vacuum I had seen. Setting off to my first use I was immediately impressed by the effectiveness of the A9 in its ability to break loose and suck up anything in its path. The batteries and motor had plenty of power to get the job done but beware because turbo mode while definitely a welcome feature will drain the battery quickly. Despite my multiple tests of turbo mode, I was still able to vacuum an entire 4000 square ft home using both batteries. The small brush accessory worked awesome for cleaning the baseboards in the bathrooms and cleaning along the walls. Additionally, the hard floor accessory proved to work very well on our tile floors and I found it to be significantly more effective than either of our two standard plug-in upright vacuums. I tested out the upholstery cleaner on one of our couches and found it to be surprisingly effective. The only downside I see to this vacuum compared to a quality upright is the debris capacity. It would also be nice not to have to use the crevice tool to remove the filter which I found necessary to empty it effectively. This style of Vacuum cleaner is definitely the most versatile and user-friendly I have used. It was also surprising to me that it did a better job of cleaning the carpet and our tile than either of our top tier brand upright vacuums. I found it easier to use and change into different modes than our upright plugin vacuums as well as being more effective while in the different usage configurations. Overall, I would say if you do not have one of these new cordless style vacuums it is definitely a worthy investment. I would also say that the LG CordZero A9 is a great choice if you are thinking about getting one. This model comes with two batteries which is very helpful if you want to clean a larger home like we have. I was also very impressed by the quality of the A9's construction and it's overall ease of use. While it is a little pricy I would say it is definitely worth it. I loved all the different usage configurations of CordZero A9. It made using it fun and getting the job of cleaning done a lot easier than other methods and means I have tried. If you are looking to invest in a vacuum of this type I would not hesitate to get the CordZero A9 by LG. It is another top-notch product by LG and one that is probably hard to beat in this category!

This little tiny cordless LG stick vacuum is small but a tough vacuum. And it’s beautiful to boot as well. This vacuum is so nicely designed that you will get people saying how pretty it is. That’s all well. But you care about portability and suction right? Well that’s where this LG shines. For being soo small. It’s plenty strong on the default setting. But when you turn on the high turbo setting, this gets even stronger. And I have a semi shag type rug. Still picks everything up. It extends enough to get into those tight places. Easy to maneuver and the grip is perfectly fitted to your hand. And is very comfortable. Battery life seems very good. Tho I only have a 1000 sq foot apt. But I do the whole apt and it only uses maybe a bar and that’s running on turbo for about 10-15 minutes. Give or take. But with 2 battery packs you should be able to do a 2k sq foot house on one battery I’m assuming. I believe this should be you go to as it’s soo easy to take off and on the charging stand. Now another that wall mountable charging stand. Well it’s amazing. Easy to set up and self balanced plus it has the ability to charge one battery by itself and charge the other battery that’s attached to the vacuum. Wowwww. I love it soo much. Plus it has the skits for the 2 attachments tools. Just a perfect little set up. Lg hit a home run. And you do get everything you pay for. Well worth it for the ease of use, suction and beauty. 1000% recommend. You will love it. Ps. I use this now for my car. No more paying for car wash vacuums that are dirty.

When I first received this cordless vacuum I was initially impressed with the packaging and protection that was given to the product, a previous vacuum i received (different brand) was so poorly packed that I ended up returning it twice due to it being damaged in the shipping process. This unit was heavily protected which gave me a great first impression. When it comes to performance, this unit works very well. It's super light weight but feels durable enough to get any job done. It comes in handy when my 2 yr old decided to "spill" cereal all over our kitchen floor or to conduct the daily clean up after our German Shepherd. Our first experience with it was cleaning up pine needles after the holiday when moving the tree outside, picked them up with ease. The provided attachments are really easy to change and work really well when spot cleaning corners and other surface areas. The charging base is an awesome and easy way to always keep it charged too and doesn't take up too much room as long as you have an outlet nearby. Only thing for improvement would be to make the collection reservoir a little bigger as I feel it fills pretty quickly. I may be a one-off case due to the breed of dog we have, but it seems as if this fills up daily. I could see it not being as much of a nuisance for the majority of users, though. All in all I recommend this vacuum due to its performance, ease of use and its ability to easily pick up after my son and dog.

Kudos to the LG team for making the charge indicator lights colorblind friendly. The product body has three bars to indicate charge level and they flash while charging. The auxiliary battery charger in the base uses a single indicator that flashes while charging. They both turn off when charging is complete. Products with indicator lights that change color (red, green, orange, amber and similar) can be impossible for colorblind users to differentiate. There are three power/suction modes on the vacuum, Standard, Power and Turbo. There is a minus (-) button and plus (+) button under the power button that can switch between Standard and Power with a quick tap. You need to press and hold the plus button for about 3 seconds to turn on Turbo mode. I rarely use the Turbo mode since it takes so long to engage, and the battery won’t last as long. The swivel feature on the power carpet nozzle makes it very easy to steer the vac while cleaning. I like that the nozzle doesn’t lock into position if you tilt the vacuum upright too far while vacuuming. This makes the LG CordZero easier to use compared to our first stick vac. If I tilt our other vac just a bit too far forward it will lock into that position requiring a tap on the nozzle with my foot while I tip the handle backwards to unlock. The power carpet nozzle does a good job on hard surfaces as well as carpet. Our first floor is almost all tile and it cleans it well. LG warns the carpet nozzle will be noisy on hard floors. They offer an optional power floor nozzle for hard floors and a power punch nozzle for sheets and bedding that they claim can remove pet hair without tangling in the brush. The adjustable extension wand is a nice touch. The release is on the back/underside of the wand and the design makes it effortless to quickly extend or collapse the wand while cleaning. The collapsed 18” wand can extend and lock an additional 3”, 6” and 9” for a total length of 27”. I almost always use the wand fully extended since I’m tall. The vacuum is light and with the wand fully extended it is easy to clean high up, even ceiling height, without your arm getting tired. I really like the freestanding charging station stand. You can choose not to assemble the stand and wall mount the charging station if you wish. Either way, the charging station will charge both the vac and the extra battery. It is a good idea to rotate the two batteries every so often, so they get used equal amounts. The charging station also stores the crevice attachment and the 2 in 1 brush/crevice attachment. I do wish the stand would allow you to store/charge the vac with either of the two attachments installed on the wand, but the height only allows storing it this way with the floor nozzle installed on the (collapsed) wand. If you choose to wall mount the charging station (in studs), you could mount it high enough to hang with either the nozzle or attachments installed on the wand. The attachments snap securely onto the wand or vac but there is no way to rotate the crevice attachment or 2 in 1 brush. This would make it easier to clean some things if you could rotate the attachments 45, 90 or even 180 degrees. The neck on most vac brushes have close to a 45-degree angle but the CordZero 2 in 1 brush is almost straight so you need to hold the vac almost perpendicular to the surface you are cleaning. This makes it a challenge if not impossible to use in tight places like our cat furniture. The crevice tool has holes on one side that prevents it from getting sealed/stuck against some surfaces. It makes it much easier to break loose from objects without shutting off the vacuum. I like this so much I just might drill some small holes into the side of the crevice tool from our other vacuum that tends to get stuck on some surfaces. The exhaust vents out the top so you might sometimes feel the air on your face as you use the vacuum. It isn’t too bad, but I’m used to vacs with the exhaust out the back, side or bottom. This top exhaust seems to be a better design because it doesn’t ever blow dust or dirt around as you are trying to clean. The latch on the dust cup is easy to release but hair and fibers can sometimes bunch up around the dust separator and they aren’t easy to grab because there isn’t much room between the dust separator and the walls of the dust cup. The dust separator can be removed but I can reach up into the dust cup of our other stick vac and easily pull hair out. Short battery life for a vacuum this size but you always have a second battery charging in the base so you can swap them quickly. Our other stick vacuum has more suction and lasts longer on a single charge but once it runs flat, we have to wait for that battery to charge because we don’t have a spare battery. There are no lights on the front of the power carpet nozzle to help you see what you are vacuuming. I was surprised the LG CordZero doesn’t have this feature considering our less expensive stick vacuum includes three LED “headlights” to help us see. The power carpet nozzle doesn’t pick up some small objects. The nozzle doesn’t have enough height to run forward or backward over small pieces of dry cat food on a tile floor, so it won’t pick them up. Often it will fling them across the floor. Our other stick vac never has this problem. I really like the CorZero overall and it is the one I grab most of the time for quick cleaning jobs on our tile floors and above floor level cleaning. When I’m cleaning carpet, larger cleaning jobs or if I need to use a vac in my truck, I use our larger stick vac with more suction and longer battery life -at half the price.

LG redesigned their CordZero vacuum line for 2020 now with the motor being near the user's hand rather than along the lower end of the vacuum body like their previous CordZero line. The "Ultimate" option also includes a couple extra parts the regular "Charge" model does not. The box includes the vacuum cleaner body, extension wand, charging station (top of stand or wall-mount) + stand/base, charging adapter, Two 2000mAh rechargeable lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, mounting hardware, power floor nozzle, power carpet nozzle, power punch nozzle (upholstery), detachable nozzle storage piece, crevice attachment, 2-in-1 brush/crevice attachment, a spare pre-filter, owner's manual/paperwork, and a suction-cupped maintenance and quick guide to hang nearby if needed. The vacuum comes with a 1-10 year warranty depending on the parts. PROS: ----------- * The fact that you have 2 batteries is one of the biggest reasons to get this package. There is no reason to have a non-ejectable "built-in" battery so that you're unable to complete a job. And you get not 1 but 2 batteries which doubles your cleaning time. * There is NO index finger trigger button to power on/off. This is awesome. I do NOT want to keep a button depressed for 15-20 minutes while I vacuum. Instead, go to my next point... * Simple operation with only 3 buttons. Power ON/OFF, standard mode, power/turbo mode combo (5 sec hold for turbo). When you select a mode, it stays in that mode until you change the mode or turn off the unit. Some OTHER brands will leave a higher power mode on for only a specific allotted amount of time, then you must hit the button again to engage it again to remain at that speed for another finite amount of time. * Extremely easy to vacuum hardwoods/tile. The roller on the backside of the unit is rubber. As you rotate your wrist and move forward/backward, the vacuum moves with good precision and doesn't slide easily from side-to-side. * Good stand design. It can hold 4 of the 5 attachments at one time. The only oddball out is the upholstery tool which can go in a nearby drawer. The power cord attaches to top/back of the stand with the cord running in a small crevice to conceal it from view. If mounted, the base and stand is not used thus eliminating a hanging spot for 1 floor tool (either the carpet or the hard floor nozzle). * 3 simple lights designate the power remaining while vacuuming. Light sequence is 3 solid lights, 2 solid lights, 1 solid light, 1 blinking light, then the unit cuts off. * All nozzles/attachments CLICK into place to secure a nice fit without coming off. * The telescoping "extension" wand is really great for changing lengths of the unit when needed. (ie. Floor = full length. Doing stairs = shorter length). You can also remove the wand completely and attach any of the 5 heads to the base if you need to vacuum up close (ie. car seats, furniture, etc). CONS: ----------- * Not the cheapest of cordless vacuum cleaners (possibly due to the extra battery included) * If vacuuming thicker carpet, you will need a use a bit more muscle as the rollers on the bottom of the unit are not big, thus making it feel like you're simply pushing/pulling the unit without rollers. Some big corded vacuums might be easier to push/pull on carpet even. * Though I did not time this, the owners manual states one battery takes 3.5 hours to recharge fully. And even though both batteries can be engaged in the charging stand at the same time (1 in the stand, the other in the vacuum cleaner), only 1 can charge at a time. And the one in the vacuum charges first, then the extra battery will charge after that even though the white charging light on the bonus battery slot still blinks. It's a bit weird but the instructions explain it. It would be good if there was a quick charge possibility, but given you get 2 batteries, I'll take the trade-off. * The rear slot in which one of the crevice tools is attached to the charging station can be a little more difficult to reach than the front attachment area just due to placement. Definitely not a deal-killer, but keep the most used of the 2 crevice tools in the front if using the "stand" option (not mounted to a wall). * Low suction speed "standard mode" feels a little less suctiony than another high-dollar vacuum brand. I compared it to that brand with no nozzles attached and the other brand did have a bit more suction on its lowest speed. I feel that the user may need to use "power" mode to get the cleaning ability you really want. With 2 batteries and good runtime, most jobs should be ok with that. * Though emptying is simple, the button to release the dust collector was more tight than I would expect. This may be due to the tightness of the bottom lid with rubber gasket so that dust doesn't come out. Again, not a deal-killer. * When putting the unit onto the charging stand, it doesn't just slide into a groove - you must put it somewhat in the groove and just guide itself down until it clicks. This is really nit-picky but it just didn't attach itself into the charging position like for instance the same way the attachments slide (with no wiggle room) onto the unit and click into place. It just feels a little rickety in a small way when placing it on the charging area. OBSERVED TIMES: --------------------- THESE TIMES are with unit simply running but not being used on floor/surface (1 battery pack): LOW "STANDARD" POWER, CARPET ATTACHMENT - 34 min 30 sec (LG claims 30m) MEDIUM "POWER" POWER, CARPET ATTACHMENT - 13 min 32 sec (LG claims 9m) HIGH "TURBO" POWER, CARPET ATTACHMENT - 6 min 30 sec (LG claims 6m) ACTUAL USE (1 battery pack): MEDIUM "POWER" POWER, CARPET (7m) then HARDWOOD(5:30) attachment - 12 min 33 sec Sorry, I did not time any other use. OTHER OBSERVATIONS: ----------------------------------- * Times overall are on par or slightly better than advertised times in the manual. Keep in mind that as time goes on, the batteries will naturally lose their longevity and they may eventually need to be replaced. No battery lasts forever. * The 2 smaller attachments click into place on the charging station and can rotate 270 degrees left, front, right (with the button facing those directions). * After using in power and turbo mode for an entire duration of battery life, the batteries did not get too hot to the touch nor did it feel like the unit was overheated. If there is a blockage in the tube though, it may start to overheat and/or simply power off so the blockage can be removed. * All filters are washable so they can be used over and over. Just make sure they are completely dry before inserting back into the machine. At some point, they may have to be replaced though if used a ton. CONCLUSION: =================== I have tried 3 different cordless vacuum systems including this one. This unit is definite my favorite. The best selling point is getting 2 batteries though at the price point it's selling at, that may be why the price is so high. The other vacuums were a bit cheaper but came with only 1 battery or a single built-in battery that couldn't be swapped out (only charged inside the unit). The other great feature is the number of attachments/nozzles (5) and the ability to house 4 of them easily if the stand is used (see pictures). The base is extremely solid so it won't fall over, and the colors are nice (gray/silver) and can pretty much fit in anywhere. The overall design is well thought out and should be very comparable or better than its competitors. A little more suction would be nice in standard mode, but overall a great product. Great job, LG!
