Long time wired mouse user here! I had bought a cheap-looking wired mouse 5 years ago (which still works now!) and was looking to upgrade to wireless because why not. G703 was a decent match from looking it up online and not heavy on the budget (plus it was $20 off when I bought it from Best Buy). I am just a casual gamer that enjoys FPS gaming and have long working sessions on the computer. Here are my initial impressions: - Sleek mouse with slight rubbery side grip for thumb buttons - The shape of the mouse fits my mouse grip style (claw-palm grip) - Weight is slightly heavier than my old mouse (without the added 10g) but I don’t notice that while using it - GHub Logitech software is kind of confusing to customize when initially installed, but after you find your sweet settings, you can select on-board memory to keep whatever profile you had on your mouse without needing to have the software running at the same time (I’m looking at you, iCue!) - Was surprised that the setup requires you to have an available USB port for the wireless dongle, for some reason I thought this works on Bluetooth. However, that doesn’t affect me as much, I have plenty of USB ports. After using the mouse for about a week, I had already forgotten I had switched it! Some of my opinions might seem weird since you already might have been exposed to some of these features. I had been using a cheap USB mouse for about 5 years, so I had some catching-up to do in the technical features and quality of life measures. But these opinions are my own and I would suggest you thoroughly research the mouse you want to buy. I would recommend: - If you don’t care about RGB, turn the lighting off (or reduce brightness to the last tick) to extend battery life. After my initial full charge about a week ago, I’m sitting at 52% left! Also, check the box for “Turn off lighting after user inactivity” in GHub Settings to save battery life. - Get a mousepad if not already, these things deserve a smooth surface. - This mouse isn’t for left-handed users, your best bet would be the endearing G Pro Wireless Hope this review helps you! Very lightweight and extremely good feel on the mousepad. For the price is the best mid range mouse.
