Questions & Answers
  • In regards to controlling the multizone, can I connect a bunch of Sonos Ports, Bluesound Nodes or WiiM Pro? Then use there app or Roon/Plexamp to control?

Hello. Thank you for your question and we hope all is well. Yes, you can! Just set the amp volume in the WebUI and control the source and on-the-fly volume via Sonos, Wiim, etc. We hope this helps and thanks again for your question. We appreciate your interest and support.

  • I have Martin Logan Aries II speakers that drop the impedance as low as 2 ohns when you turn up the volume would this amp work with them without blowing up in bridged mode. they have fried several other amps.

Thank you for your question and we hope all is well. We apologize to hear about your experience with your speakers and amps. Impedance varies depending on the frequency so it’s constantly changing. Since it’s so dynamic, manufacturers rate impedance as “nominal” or “average” which takes into account some variability. So if the speaker and amp-rated impedance are the same or close, it should be fine. Almost all amps have built-in protection as well so in most cases there is no risk in trying it. The MDA should be fine, but we would recommend not using the bridge mode since bridge mode isn’t as stable at low impedance. We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions.

  • Just to confirm this will drive 16 speakers at 60 watts each? I see only 8 outputs for speakers so do I bind two speakers to each left and right output? Effectively meaning two pairs of speakers per zone?

Each zone has a pair of speakers available to be connected, and each phoenix connector has 4 terminals. So yes, this will drive 16 speakers @ 60wpc. Feel free to give us a call at 785-749-0133 if you have any further questions!
