The MC6-HT is the angled version of the MC6. By designing the speaker with a fixed tweeter and woofer angle, we were able to tune the performance of the speaker far more accurately than universal pivoting designs. The MC6-HT is recommended for applications where the listener will spend most of their time not directly underneath the speaker. For example, when being used as the front or center speaker in a home theater, the listener is typically around 10 feet or farther away, yet typical in ceiling speakers are pointing straight down placing the sweet spot directly in front of the screen. By angling the drivers towards the listener, a very noticeable increase in performance is realized. All MartinLogan Motion CI Series speakers feature our signature Folded Motion Tweeter or FMT. This innovative piece of audio technology provides incredible detail, precise clarity, clean output and high efficiency in a small but mighty package. By far the most popular size for in-ceiling speakers, the MC6 features a 6.5” woofer with higher power handling, greater output capability, and improved bass response over the smaller MC4. This model works without a built-in enclosure to allow the speaker to use more airspace for higher performance. For applications where sound control is desired, an optional retrofittable back enclosure is available separately. The speaker shall be designed for in-ceiling and flush mount installations and utilise a coincident point source design with the high frequency tweeter mounted in the centre of the low frequency woofer. The KEF CI160MR is UV protected and designedto withstand the harshest operating environments.
