Ultra-Slim Folded Motion Speakers
The slender, wall-mountable Motion® SLM XL speakers feature a high resolution Folded Motion Tweeter for incredible detail and clarity, and two 4-inch high-excursion fiber cone woofers with four passive bass radiators for maximum controlled low-end bass extension - all in an ultra-slim profile designed expressly for super-thin 65-inch or larger TVs.
On-Wall Elegance
With keyhole slots on the speaker's back panel that attach easily to the included wall bracket, you'll have them wall-mounted and playing in no time. While we created Motion SLM speakers to wall mount next to ultra-flat panel TVs, we also included stands for the Center Channel to sit on a shelf, mantle or equipment cabinet if needed.
The Perfect LCR System
Folded Motion Tweeters have an 80° x 80° dispersion pattern, which allows them to sound exactly the same in a horizontal or vertical orientation, making them perfect for Left-Center-Right (LCR) system applications. The optional logo on the grille is magnetic and can move and rotate to the proper aesthetically pleasing location in any orientation.

Exceptional clarity, but pair with a sub — don't s
The Motion SLM XL delivers everything MartinLogan's Folded Motion tweeter promises: articulate, grain-free highs and remarkably clear dialog reproduction that puts most traditional on-wall speakers to shame. Voices lock in with real presence and intelligibility — a genuine strength for home theater use. That said, the "XL" in the name shouldn't set expectations for low-end weight. Six 4" drivers in a slim on-wall enclosure simply cannot move enough air below ~80Hz, and the bass rolloff is noticeable on anything with real dynamic range. These are not a standalone solution — a capable subwoofer isn't optional, it's mandatory to realize what this speaker is capable of. Crossed over properly, the combination is excellent. Run full-range, you'll feel like something's missing. Build quality and form factor are impressive for the price point. Gloss black finish is clean and the slim profile does what it promises aesthetically. Installation is straightforward. Bottom line: buy these if you're committed to a proper sub integration. If you're hoping to run them without one, look elsewhere.

Martin Logan Motion SLM XL speakers
Always loved Martin Logan speakers for their clean crisp sound. Absolutely needs a sub but that was to be expected. SVS SB 3000 subs x 2 is a perfect match and play awesome in home theater or listening to music.

I already had the Martin Logan motion SLM’s now these XL’s blend perfectly together to complete my home theater sound. Every word spoken is crisp with dynamic action range.
