A: I use it with my Samsung UHD TV. I connect the optical audio port of the TV to the audio port of the device and it works fine. You do have to go into the audio setup of the TV and choose the digital out vs. the tv speakers.
A: I have Bluetooth earbuds (I would assume your hearing aid is Bluetooth) attached so that I can clearly hear the words while my husband is able to listen to the TV normally. To use our sound bar we had to purchase an extra optical cable.
