Customers praise the game's performance, noting that it runs well despite its graphics. However, some customers feel the graphics are outdated, comparing them to those of older PlayStation consoles. The visual style is described as a throwback to a previous generation of gaming. While not a dealbreaker for all, the graphics are a point of contention for some players.

Metal Max Zeno what can I say, a tankastic Jrpg, a lot of customization options for your tank. Wish they were more though, but it’s good for what it is. Tank battles are the best part of this game. Good but really short story. The characters and character interactions are good and some hilarious. The main character has some trauma and needs some mental help badly lol. You’ll see. Additional items and wanted monsters unlock when you beat the game and start a new game+. It’s worth playing again trust me. Another issue I had besides the short story, there weren’t enough ruins and enough world to explore for me, I love the exploration in rpgs. The story and series sends a great message to us today. Hidden behind all the tank combat there are lessons we all could learn even though this is a fictional world.

Imagine. A JRPG where you "equip" giant tanks instead of swords and armor in a post-apocalyptic world run by robots bent on destroying all of humankind. And it's turn-based. That is Metal Max Xeno. Tons upon tons of tank upgrades. Loot. Equipment. Guns. Sure, the graphics are PS2 era, and sure there's almost no music that my ears can remember. But this is a good, old-school charmer that gives you all the fun of an RPG... but with huge machine guns and rocket launchers instead of fire spells and lightning blasts. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

I bought this because I owned Metal Saga on the PS2. I've always wished we would get more Metal Max games, so I try to support them. I think if you look at a video and some screenshots, you'll know what you're in for. This a turn-based RPG. Sometimes you're wandering through under-ground mazes fighting monsters. Most of the time you're driving around in tanks you've customized to fight larger monsters. The graphics in the game are on the low end for a PS4 game, but it's passable and runs well. There's actually a new version of this game in Japan with improvements including notably different character models, but who knows if that'll come out elsewhere. I've found the game to be fun, but it depends on how much that core gameplay appeals to you. Nothing significant changes about it as you progress, you just get stronger.
