About This Item

2014 double vinyl LP pressing reissue of this 2008 album on the band's own Blackened tag. Metallica is easily one of the best, most influential Heavy Metal bands of the '80s. Responsible for bringing the genre back to Earth, the bandmates looked and talked like they were from the street, shunning the usual rockstar games of Metal musicians during the early '80s. They expanded the limits of Thrash, using speed and volume not for their own sake, but to enhance their intricately structured compositions. Album Tracks 1. That Was Just Your Life (Physical Album Version) 2. The End of the Line (Physical Album Version) 3. Broken, Beat & Scarred (Physical Album Version) 4. The Day That Never Comes (Physical Album Version) 5. All Nightmare Long (Physical Album Version) 1. Cyanide (Physical Album Version) 2. The Unforgiven III (Physical Album Version) 3. The Judas Kiss (Physical Album Version) 4. Suicide & Redemption (Physical Album Version) 5. My Apocalypse (Physical Album Version)

Nirvana - In Utero - VINYL LP
    5.0(7)

Limited 180gm vinyl pressing of the original version of the final Nirvana studio album. In Utero is a howling, defiantly punkish recording, an unsentimental throwback to an era of garage band epiphanies and raw, unadorned rock and roll. Nirvana rails against both alternative conformity and polished notions of commercial rock with the anthemic rage of true outcasts. Engineer-producer Steve Albini has enabled Nirvana to replicate the savage immediacy of their live sound-the sound of a band without commercial aspirations or pretensions, just thrashing away for the sheer joy of noise. Album Tracks 1. Serve the Servants 2. Scentless Apprentice 3. Heart-Shaped Box 4. Rape Me 5. Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle 6. Dumb 7. Very Ape 8. Milk It 9. Pennyroyal Tea 10. Radio Friendly Unit Shifter 11. Tourette's 12. All Apologies

David Byrne - Who Is The Sky? - VINYL LP
    5.0(1)

In 2023, as his triumphant American Utopia era came to a close, David Byrne began jotting down the occasional groove, chord or melody and assembling them into demos he recorded with just an acoustic guitar atop a programmed beat or loop. The prior three years had given him, and much of humanity, the opportunity to ask, InchDo I like what I'm doing? Why am I writing songs, or working this job, or whatever? Does any of it matter?Inch Byrne's attempts to answer those weighty questions can be found on Who Is The Sky?, a first-time collaboration between himself, Grammy-winning producer Kid Harpoon aka Tom Hull (Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus) and New York-based chamber ensemble Ghost Train Orchestra, and featuring guest appearances by Paramore's Hayley Williams, longtime collaborator St. Vincent and The Smile drummer Tom Skinner. The album builds upon the optimistic themes laid out by American Utopia and it's supporting tour, but more specifically spelled out by the Grammy-winning Broadway show and subsequent movie. With this offering, Byrne continues his lifelong exploration of human connection and the potential for societal unity against the chaotic backdrop of the world. Who Is the Sky? is particularly personal, cinematic, humorous and joyful, but often with a lesson baked in - that love is unexplainable, that enlightenment means very different things to different people and that it's always a good idea to moisturize, whether you wake up the next morning with skin like a baby or not. Most importantly, the songs evince Byrne's gift for riding the razor's edge of avant-garde and accessible pop. Album Tracks 1. Everybody Laughs 2. When We Are Singing 3. My Apartment Is My Friend 4. A Door Called No 5. What Is the Reason for It? 6. I Met the Buddha at a Downtown Party 7. Don't Be Like That 8. The Avant Garde 9. Moisturizing Thing 10. I'm An Outsider 11.
