Mission: Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol - 4K Blu-Ray [4K Ultra HD Blu-ray]

Now I have seen this movie probably 10 times on both DVD and Blu ray. I decided to get the 4K version with HDR to enhance my experience. The 4K HDR is superb! The picture was much better and sounded better with Dolby Vision. A jump in from Blu ray to 4K HDR, in this case was well worth it. I was impressed! Here is a bit about the actual film: The nuclear codes are in the wrong hands and a disavowed IMF is the only ones who can get them back. Tons of action and great plot make this film a great flick to watch over and over again. Enjoy the 4K HDR!

The audio is precise and well-positionned. But do take care if screening this during the evening, or in places with thin walls or floors. Colors are solid, blacks are where they need to be. Not as grainy as later films. The IMAX sequences certainly shine here. Clear justification as an upgrade from the blu-ray. From a cinema standpoint, this was a better outing that MI:3, and that was in instant classic. "Rogue Nation" would raise the quality bar event further. Somehow, "Fallout" would be equal to, perhaps slightly better. Only the lousy second film failed as a genre thriller.

We bought this DVD to see how 4K Ultra should look on our new TV. This action film did the job, convincing us that we love our TV. The movie was very entertaining, too. Better than I expected.

This movie is definitely worth adding to the collection for its amazing HDR quality and outstanding ATMOS sound mix.

This is slightly better than the older bluray release but it is better so don’t hesitate to purchase if its on sale.
