A: I had the same problem, which sucks because this was a good, loud headset.

A: I would say the range is about 50 ft. max. I do like it though. I was using a wired set just for the sound quality, and used to have a number of wireless, including Jawbone. I like this because it connects up easily, battery lasts a long time, and doesn't drain my iPhone with the Bluetooth connection.

A: Yes, it will work for music, but because it rests on your ear and not in it, the sound quality lacks big time. No bass either, so I would not recommend for music.
