For creative professionals looking to update their system, the MSI Z590-A PRO offers a quality platform with the capacity to support a broad spectrum of both cutting-edge and legacy hardware.
Q: Specs say maximum 4800 MHz? can this overclock an i5-11600K past 4.8GHz with UEFI etc.? thanks.
A: Hey I have 10700k and have had it up to 5.1ghz, I don't run it like that often but I wanted to push it to see. Matched with good case cooling and a kraken x53 I was sitting steady at no more than 80°C quick peaks stress tests(although never did long stress tests, just long game then stress test) Cyber punk at 1080p, for reference to demanding game never reached over 70°C I don't recall the mosfets temperature but this board seems to be perfect for over clocking especially at price range. The heat sinks are directly on mosfets as well. Also noticed plenty of errors in Bestbuys listing in this and other products. Always check manufacture websites spec sheets, please. It even says gen 2 pci which can be misleading. The pcie lanes allows for gen 4 down to gen 1. I'd say get this, but I'm not sure how well that 11600k can go on terms of overclock, as my test is from previous gen. If you hadn't gotten the CPU already you're better off with the 10700k as that will be cheaper and actually run better.(was in boat of deciding if it was worth 10 or 11 gen intel) Unless you're doing some serious file transferring in which that might allow you better transfer rates based on if you got 4x4 m.2 or gen 4 pci devices, but even then... Negligible if you're overclock. (Micr*Cent** will be your friend if you live within 2hr drive) have fun :) P.S. binning is always a thing to keep in mind as not all processor's will overclock the same or even mobos(lesser chance of difference)
Q: works with a corsair RM1000 power supply and a GEFORCE GTX graphics card 1650 6gb?
A: I have it running with inexpensive 650ps with a 1050 gtx it’s a great board 11th gen 117700k processor
Q: how many sata data cable ports does this have
A: Too many lol. I think 6 but I believe port 2 and/or 6 are disabled if using m.2-1 slot and/or m.2-2 slots. The top m.2-0 slot (with "frozr" shield) only for 11th gen 4x4 m.2. please go to manufacture websites for anything you ever find on here (bestbuy.com) as I've found many errors in specs before on listings P.S. 4 of them are side mounted (lower right) for cleaner look when wiring.
Q: Will this board work with an i7 7700 processor
A: No, the Z590-A PRO is not compatible with 7th gen Intel CPUs.
A: The wattage recommendation of a power supply depends on the other peripherals being installed on the motherboard. All connectors on this motherboard are standard connections and do not require a special power supply.
Q: Will this motherboard work with an intel i5 processor?
A: Depends on the model of the processor.
Q: Does a i3 10100f run on this board? Especially with a 1650?
A: Yes, the Z590-A PRO is compatible with 10th gen Intel CPUs as well as 1650 series graphics cards.
Q: Is this compatible with my AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor CPU?
A: Its an intel motherboard
