The last Maytag I bought was in 1997. This is different a bit. Don't know why it was changed. I got it less than two days ago and I am already pleased with my purchase. This washer is beautiful. It's also QUIET so I don't understand the noise complaints. The knobs are all turnable knobs and not computerized flashy fluff that will short out and quit working on a whim. This is exactly what I wanted! Also there is an agitator. Whoever heard of a washing machine without one, that actually cleans anything? Might as well beat your clothes on a rock if you want them clean. It's not as crazy fast as some that spit water at you like a over caffeinated monster. I didn't notice the spin or vibration cycle so it can't be much. I only noticed subdued quiet sounds. I had to check if it was still on it's so low key. I heard no loud noises at all. I know my clothes were damp and spinned out well. This takes some work off of the matching Maytag dryer I got at the same time. I am happy and believe I will love this new Maytag set as much as my 1997 duo.

The new washing machines are not made like they were 20 years ago, but I think this is the closest. I completely understand trying to save water but with our lifestyle and my husband working at a refinery which leaves his clothes smelling bad, I need a washing machine that can fill up with water when I need it to and this is the only new washing machine I’ve found where I can do that. We had a front load first that I returned immediately and bought this washing machine. I like when I have a smaller or less soiled laundry I can use auto sensing and it does a great job of cleaning. When I need more water I can put this on bulky items, deep fill and rinse with fabric softener and I can get the tub to fill almost all the way up. The only negative I’ve found so far is the agitation on a full deep fill doesn’t agitate as fast as I would like it to, it’s more of a swooshing action which is better for preserving clothes but not so great with getting stains out. But so far, overall I am happy.

The washer is very large, I can fit comforters in it, love the exact water level fill for smaller loads, cleans great!

Very easy to use set up was a breeze no issues so far a bit more quieter then the last washer I had also happy with the capacity

Old school rugged no bells and whistles works every time for a long time. I use this for our personal laundry and for our business. I use it seven days a week and it works perfect every time.

I truly love my new Maytag. These drum is so nice and huge that my clothes are not cramped. It truly is efficient, and clothes comes out just damp that it dries in no time at all. I just love all the settings that I can choose from, so much better than my last machine from another company that didn't give much of a choice. The power wash agitator really gets your clothes clean. I must also say that it really is a value buying this Maytag. Thank you Maytag for my new machine that TRULY washes my clothes CLEAN. Spin cycle is unbelievable also. I am very happy with my new Maytag.

DISAPPOINTED in the loss of water control I use to get from other washers. As I am unable to fully control and wash my items at the water level I would like for the specific Item I am washing. I do like the very quiet noise level coming from the washer and the quick cycles from each wash. It would nice to have more control water levels for each wash cycle.

I love it! It works great. My other Maytag washer died after 18 years the day before Thanksgiving. Water all over the floor! Was so happy to get my new one!

Super satisfied with our top loader washer, has exceeded our expectations.

If I were shopping in a store I wouldn't have selected this machine. I am disappointed with the capacity and the wash options. Once it did not spin the water out. There is no trouble shooting guide to assist.

Still getting used to the washer sensor (old one didn’t have that) clothes wash great. Spin cycle is phenomenal. We absolutely live our new set!

Two stars only because it has a good bit of room so you are able to fit a queen size comforter in it easy. But it take 2 hours to wash one load of clothes on the fastest setting and it uses hardly no water at all so I don’t see how my clothes are even getting clean at all…now I am stuck with this crappy washer and out all of that money. Probably just going to remove it and put my old one back in since there was nothing wrong but age.

I got this open box washer for less than $350 so of course I'm happy with it. I think it's double that new. For me the thing that matters most in a washer is how long it works and that's something I can't answer right now. But what I can say is that it's pretty large and I like how well it claims in the instruction manual that it washes clothes with cold water. So according to the instructions the cold water wash gets clothes cleaner and uses only a little more electricity than the warm wash. It has a bar graph chart showing 3 things for each mode, cleanliness, efficiency, and harshness on the cloths so it's very easy to see which mode would work best for your needs. It doesn't have any fancy LED displays but it's got all the features you need in a washer and it's very simple to operate. I rated it 5 stars based on the value I got on the discounted price but what you pay for it will likely not be the same.

Top heavy duty quality, the capacity volume is great, and the technology is at the perfect level for me. I highly recommend this made in the USA product.

Quiet and efficient. Lovecall the varied cycles to meet my laundry needs, like Bulky sheets setting.

Highly dissappointed. No way to get more water in washer. We have to use bulky setting all the time. Deep water setting is a joke. There is no deep water at all. It is a lie. The knob is a joke. Washer has great capacity. That's about it.

Washer does not wash. Photo attached is example of every use. Extremely disappointed and taken this at a loss. Wish I could return it. Don’t make my mistake.
