After using this USB network adapter for a week, I have been satisfied with its performance. I wouldn't say it's anything out of the ordinary, but it's compact size makes it appealing to me. I have a 300 MBps internet service and this is able to provide an average 250 MBps consistently. The Netgear Nighthawk that this replaced was giving me around 320 MBps on average. Overall recommended product.

Great product. Completely cured our problem of "losing" the Internet signal. This company has been around for a while and now we know why. They advertise accurately. They make high-quality merchandise. Affordable price points make this add-on piece of equipment well worth it. In fact, it literally pays for itself.

Works great! Got this for an older desktop that needed to be set up a few rooms away from the router. No complaints.

My experience with Linksys stuff has been always good and this is not the exception. It added new life to my laptop by improving Internet connection as it allowed me to move from 802.11n to a faster 802.11ac wireless connection to the network through a USB-3 port.

Three months into working from home, my 8 year old laptop stopped recognizing the wifi. I soon came to the conclusion that my internal wifi chip had ceased. I purchased the Linksys AC Dual-Band AC600 USB Network adapter instead of buying a new computer. The set up was simple and it recognized my wifi right away and connected me. Almost 3 years later and this adapter is still going strong. I was very surprised how long it has lasted. The speed is almost the same with the internal, though I never tested the original internal chip. I only have one issue with this adapter and depending on what your using it on, it could become a drawback. When my laptop goes to sleep and I wake it up, I have to unplug and re-insert the adapter for it to start working again. This happens every time without fail. Since I use this in my laptop it is a quick 2 sec procedure, however if you ware using this on a tower or a USB port in the back on a computer, this would be very problematic. For the price, and depending on what device you are using this on, I would suggest this adapter but only for temporary uses.

So far, so good with this tiny USB network adapter. Size-wise, it's perfect, and the LED helps you determine, at a glance, if it is connected to a network. Previously I had used a similar device by Netgear, which was replaced simply due to age. However, in recent years it seems the other Netgear devices I use were having firmware issues or failing altogether, so I decided to switch this Linksys adapter, as I had also recently replaced my Wi-Fi router with a Linksys model. No major issues with this adapter -- it has performed flawlessly. However, be warned that whenever you use a USB port for a Wi-Fi adapter on a computer which you keep on all the time -- and which goes into power save mode -- you will need to go into "Device Manager," locate the adapter, select "Properties" then "Power Management," and disable (uncheck the box) the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option. Otherwise, when you "wake" the computer out of sleep mode, it will not connect to the Internet without you going through the steps to reconnect it. This isn't a flaw for the adapter, but rather an issue with Windows.

I purchased 2 for a couple desktops. I have a Ac wireless Modem now and they work great. Easy set up. I would buy again. Another thing they are micro size.

Great signal strength in a small device. The range is surprisingly strong and set up was easy!

As long as it's a desktop with CD drive, installation and internet access was seamless. Most desktops I think still have CD drives ... however in the future there may be need to have driverless install when desktops don't even come with CD drives. Or include some flash memory on the adapter itself that mounts as small USB drive (maybe 16MB) to house the drivers. Internet speed was plenty fast and signal was very strong for being kept under a desk. Note I bought this on sale when it was $24.

My work laptop is quirky in that the onboard wireless card works great 99% of the time, but at three places I frequent (a hotel I stay at for work and two cyber cafe-type places) the computer immediately locks up soon as the wireless connects. After trying to fix the problem (without taking the laptop apart) without success, I bought this external network adapter. The adapter was easy to install (I had to use the disk) and it works just as advertised. Speed (though not tested with a meter) seems on par with the onboard wireless card (this laptop is USB 2.0; the box says the adapter can run 3.0 speeds) I like the compact size: it's unobtrusive when in use and easy to store when not. Recommended.

My internet connection was being interrupted often, so I figured it was time to replace it. Out with the old LINKSYS and in with the new. This bugger performs way better than the old one. No more loss of connection and size is great!

This 5 GHz Wireless adapter breathed new life into my 5 year old laptop that had an unreliable 2.4 GHz adapter. All I had to do was insert the adapter into a USB port and the device was immediately recognized, and the driver downloaded automatically. The next step is too select a network and connect. It was as easy as that. After about a week of use, I find this adapter to be reliable and easily holds a rock-solid WiFi connection with either of the available bands. A speed test confirmed that my upload and download speed doubled from 48/5 to 105/11. Important tip: Go into the driver power management settings in Device Manager, and uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off this device to save power. When this option on you will have to wake up the adapter after it is idle awhile, and I find that to be an unnecessary headache that is easily eliminated.

The wifi card on my laptop was dying a slow death. I wanted an easy and inexpensive replacement (didn't want to buy a new laptop yet). This one fit the bill. It was very easy to setup. So far it has been perfectly reliable.

Works as expected. using on an old slower PC, gets the jobs done. also not transferring any files, web use only. I did a sleep test and it was downloading at 70 kbps, I then testing my MacBook and was downloading at 370 mbps. 70 is still fast and workable. I would buy again. the set up was plug and play.

I've had the adapter for about a month now, and it's worked wonderfully. My computer is located upstairs, with the router and modem downstairs in the living room. It picks up the signal without any issues, and is small enough that it doesn't get in the way. It was easy to install on my computer, and even easier to use.

It was just as it said. Plug n play. took minutes to get me online and working. Did not lose connection at all. Great signal strength.

I purchased this product for a friend based on my past experience with Linksys products. It has good range and sets up very easily.

My older Dell desktop began failing to connect to the Internet over a period of a few weeks. I'd have to reboot and wait and wait and finally, it no longer connected. That's tough as my work demands a constant, dependable Internet connection to my WiFi. I checked around and discovered that it was possible to gain access to my WiFi signal via a USB WiFi adapter, but I was so skeptical that this really simple (and CHEAP) item would really solve my problem. Because it was so stupidly cheap, I figured I could buy one and test it out and if it didn't perform as claimed, I'd be able to get a refund - I love Best Buy for that, they always treat me right. So I ended up buying not one, but two of them, one for each of my desktop Windows computers. And to my utter surprise and delight, those little suckers actually gave me superb Internet speeds like I never even had when my system was brand new. Amazing how such a small and low-priced piece of hardware can make such a profound improvement. So...I am now a believer!
