Almost five stars
I would give this five stars, but I feel like my D5 was a little better as far as the navigation goes. Customer service for these guys is amazing. They help me immediately and very efficiently. The robot is great, it has automatic cleaning mode for determining vacuum power on a certain surface. I love the HEPA filters. And especially with the sale that's in no brainer by. The app with updates is only going to get better. The reason I'm not giving it five stars is because sometimes the navigation it will get lost. And the map is a little crooked compared to previous models. But with no go zones, i don't have any issues with rugs that are thicker. The robot doesn't like thick rugs. It messes up. It's navigation. Connection issues compared to my D5. D5 once it was on my Wi-Fi never had to be reconnected, but this one does pretty frequently. The robot is tucked away perfectly under a TV stand and will function from there. Also, I love picking this robot up and placing it anywhere I want and starting a cleaning run. It doesn't. Great job and everything looks nice after. Quality of this is top notch, very easy to maintain and clean, simple.

D10 Neato Robotics Vacuum with LIDAR mapping!
The Neato D10 is a new advanced robot vacuum from Neato Robotics. It has LaserSmart SLAM technology LIDAR that allows mapping of a home or office and clean even in the dark.The HEPA filter captures fine dust particles as small as 0.3 microns. Neato has designed the robot with a wide flat edge and added a new brush to improve the vacuums ability to pick up dirt and reduce noise compared to it's previous vacuums. Neato claims it will clean up to 2,700 sq. feet on a single charge and vacuums up to 300 minutes runtime The vacuum has a large 0.7-liter dirt bin. There are 3 vacuuming modes: Eco mode for general vacuuming, lower noise and longer run time, turbo mode for those areas that need a deeper cleaning and Max Mode for maximum power and deeper cleaning at the expense of shorter run time and more noise. The vacuum has a convenient auto-recharge mode. When it needs power to complete a job instead of charging fully it will calculate how much power it needs to finish , charge up, and then go back to cleaning right from where it left off. . Setup is easy with the MyNeato app. It is available for Android and IOS. Unfortunately for me there is a bug that affects the setup of Wifi with Android 13 on my Pixel Pro 6 so I had to use my backup iPhone to do the setup. After the setup was complete I was able to use the App normally on my Pixel. Neato is working on a fix. With the MyNeato app you can control and monitor the D10 from anywhere. You can use zones to set up to 16 areas and choose the cleaning mode for each one. You can make cleaning schedules to let the vacuum do its work at a time convenient to you. On the first run The D10 maps your entire office or home it then returns to the base and uploads the maps. My vacuum could not find it's base at first. A quick online chat with Neato support resulted in moving the base slightly and it has worked since. There are a few rules for base placement: 1) The charging station must be on a straight wall 2) It must not be in a corner or closer than three feet/one meter to a corner or door 3) It must not be in direct sunlight 4) It must not be placed under another object / piece of furniture 5) It should ideally be in a room with a quiet / unchanging environment so that further difficulties can be avoided (e.g. not near chairs that are moved) 6) There should be at least one meter/three feet of space to the right, left and front 7) The robot should be able to scan the charging station from several points in the room The D10 did a great job cleaning my office carpets even though I have a cleaning crew vaccum maually the D10 vacuumed up a goo deal of dirt and dust. The vacuum was able to navigate the many chairs and obstacles without getting stuck. The map created was extremely accurate. I run the vacuum at night on turbo mode using scheduling. I did a manual run to assess the noise level of each mode, eco mode is quiet, Turbo mode is louder but not too noisy and is probably ok for normal use. Max mode is loud and should only be used if you need a really deep clean. Neato Robotics has released a really nice vacuum, I recommend it if you are looking for a robotic vacuum.

Truly intelligent, powerful, and sleek robot vac
First of all, I wonder why all the negative reviews about this robot vacuum. At least here, I can share my experience using this Neato D10 for three days compared to my other high-end brands that cost about the same. What I liked about this Neato robot vacuum was the design and quality I noticed the minute I unboxed it. Looks great and feels heavy. The charging dock is slim, so it does not take much space, and I did not need to use double-sided tape to stick to the baseboard. The robot returned to its charging dock, and the dock did not slide and remained firm. The cleaning brush is attached to the back of the charging dock magnetically, so it does not get lost, but I found it a hassle as I had to move the dock to take the brush, so I kept it in a safe place. It is equipped with a HEPA filter and powered by a strong battery that can run for 300 minutes. The built-in speaker that announces the setup steps and any audible error/info is loud and clear. Buttons on the top are easy to use, the big one is for Start/Turn on and Turn off, one for audible prompts, and there are two LEDs, one for the battery indicator and one for the wifi. The setup was super easy using the MyNeato app on iPhone. I had to create an account to use the step-by-step instructions in the app that are easy to follow. Lunching the vacuum for the first time took almost 55 minutes to navigate and map my living room and the dining room. I have to say that the laser (LIDAR) navigation and mapping is much better than the camera as its detection was way better even in the dark. I had experienced and gone through many issues with a vacuum with camera navigation, especially during dim light and even constant bumping into the furniture. This Neato worked flawlessly, and from its first run, it avoided bumping into the furniture only a few times which is impressive. However, I made sure no cables were on the floor to avoid getting stuck. The vacuum is powerful enough to manage its way out of the narrow areas, and I had no issues like getting stuck or mismapping the area. It offers three cleaning modes eco/turbo/max. I ran it on max mode, and the cleaning outcomes were marvelous; even those tiny pieces of nuts were sucked. It performs for up to 300 minutes; thank you for the big battery. Like any other vacuum, it returns to its charging dock to recharge and continue its cleaning session if the battery is about to die. Noise is acceptable, even on max mode. Lunching and returning to its charging dock is smooth and finds its way without bumping or getting lost. The Neato D10 has a D-shaped form factor that looks great, especially with the aluminum-like color that gives it a premium look. My other three robot vacuums at home have the self-emptying feature, but this Neato does not. Nevertheless, its D-shaped gives it more room for a bigger dustbin than my other brands. But what I did not like about this Neato D10 was that the app is glitchy and gets unresponsive several times. When I tested the "Locate" feature, I had the locating sound beeping, but I could not turn it off in the app until I turned off the vacuum completely. I deleted the app and reinstalled it again, but it seemed hopeless. The vacuum is excellent, but its app is annoying. Other features in-app such as history, creating routines, editing maps, and more maps, are functional with some unresponsiveness here and there. The No-Go zone feature worked as meant to be, and my vacuum never reached my No-Go areas as I selected. I feel this Neato D10 is underrated since I did not experience any issues except that its app needs some work, and I'm sure the company will pay attention to this and fix it in their future firmware.
