Our house is one floor but has thick stone and concrete walls. The NETGEAR AC1750 (R6400) Router was in an inside closet and WiFi was good in half the house poor in the other half and nonexistent in the garage and outside. We now have coverage throughout with good speed and reliability. Did have a difficulty in the beginning. I did not realize that the install was not complete. Loading the app on my phone and utilizing the web site I realized the error and was able to complete the install correctly. Suggestion: Be aware of the notification lights on the device.

I purchased this in hopes of expanding my WiFi range from our office to the backyard where our garage is located. Unfortunately, no matter where we place it, it doesnt seem to provide adequate bandwidth from the router. Set up was easy enough and it's only lost connection to the router once. Unfortunately, that one time required me to move the extender closer to the router which made the service in the garage even worse. I unfortunately cannot return the extender anymore so now I am debating if I want to spend another $130 in hopes that it creates a better mesh network.

I purchased the Wi-Fi Range Extender to extend the range of the 2nd floor devices since the router was in the basement. As Wi-Fi Range Extender I would not recommend this product. With the extender located in my upstairs hallway I was getting speeds of 80Mbps down using SpeedTest on my iPhone at the furthest distance in my house. However, without the extender I was already getting 150Mbps to 220Mpbs to the basement at the same location on the 2nd floor. I had CAT5 lines installed upstairs when the house was built so I decided to configure the device as an access point. AMAZING!!! I was easily getting 350Mbps to almost 500Mbps download speeds. With the access point upstairs, 25 wifi devices upstairs of the 70+ total devices and growing now connect to the upstairs access point. Configuration is a little tricky but once you get it setup no worries. The iPhone Nighthawk app is useless but the website tool is great, not many features, but easy to configure.

Works great. I use it in my back house and connects easily with with my spectrum router that is located in my front house. Obviously has slower speeds in the back house but still plenty fast for streaming

This was a great purchase. Recommended by staff at Best buy. We have been frustrated with wifi coverage in our home for way to long. Problem solved! Made a huge difference. Thank you Best Buy!

Works well. I have an outside camera that couldn’t connect with the Wi-Fi in my house. This made it work.

Needed to boost our WiFi signal in our home & it really did the job. It’s in our upstairs hallway. I would recommend it.

I installed a new TV in our garage where I have the Bowflex M7 Trainer and Bowflex bench. I needed a wifi extender and went to Best Buy to get this. The rep chose this for me and it worked well as I get a better reception with this wifi extender by Netgear called Nighthawk. Thank you Best Buy for the recommendation.

Whether you are using the ethernet or wireless function the extension at times will output 2% if the Wi-Fi speed you actually have. My Wi-Fi speed at home is 300mbps. However when connected to the extension I will get 1-10 mbps. There are some times in the day that the extension will function as indented, at full speed. however those times will happen minority of the time using the extension. The 3 attached pictures show 3 separate test done within an hour. The connection is EXTREMELY INCONSISTANT.

It took a few tries to realize that I would need to use the mobile app to get the Extender to work. Once I had the basic configuration I was able to get the coverage I wanted. It does improve the available signal strength and preserve almost the entire bandwidth of the original source. It does NOT automatically create a new network name for itself, i.e. ...name5G-ext for each of the signals available. It uses the original router names which can be confusing until you use the app to change the names for the extender. It has both 2G and 5G available. I use the extender primarily to enhance the wifi available on the far side of the house for 4K smart TVs.

I’m renting an in law. The Wi-Fi signal is so weak. I brought this Wi-Fi extender. Downloaded the NETGEAR App. Installed the extender and now I have full bars on all my devices and it works great!

I purchased two other brands of Range extenders from local stores. Since I am inept with opening new apps I was unable to connect them. I have a Netgear Nighthawk router. Best Buy had videos and information that made it easy to connect without downloading another app. The process was to just plug in to an outlet and establish a connection like the other two but this time it actually worked with no added complications. So far this extender works the way it was described.

Loved the mesh integration. It’s small and easy to setup which is great. However, it has consistently had connections issues with my router every few hours, leaving me with no wifi connection for a up to 5 minutes. This did not happen without the extender. Unfortunately will be returning

Got rid of the wifi deadspot in my house!! I dont know why I did not get this sooner. Very easy to set up with the WPS. I plugged it in next to my router, and them both link up, then moved it midpoint between my deadspot and my router where my signal strength was still excellent. Note: if you have a weak signal, you will have a wider range but only as a weak signal. So make sure your signal is strong and plug the extender close to the outer edges at the strong signal.

The NETGEAR AC1750 WiFi Mesh Extender was easy to set up and actually gave me more information about my network than I previously knew. It's integration with my existing devices was flawless and the signal strength is excellent.

Needed the 2.4g band for my vacuum and some other items. It worked great, was easy to setup and doesn’t require a new wifi name or password.

Setup is typical of Netgear products - fairly user friendly with the occasional "whoops" requiring me to start over. This was largely due to me NOT wanting to have the extender use the same SSID as my main WIFI. Setup took maybe 30 minutes NOT using the app. What's good: Speed when connected Broadcast Range What's not so good: Its huge, and even when plugged in to the top of a standard wall outlet, it's difficult to plug something in below it. At times it seems to lose connection with my router. Full disclosure, my router (also a netgear) had been acting up aftera recent firmware update, may have been responsible for the connection loss. If a knew for sure that the connection loss was unrelated to this extender, I would have upped the review to 4 stars.

I'm not a techie, but felt I had enough confidence to install the exender. After reading the "Quick Start" instructions, I realized that there were two different methods for installation. One was using the NightHawk app and the other was for installing on a WPS system. After much trial and error and trying the NightHawk app and not being very successful, I determined that I had a WPS system. I followed the installation instructions for that system and the extender came to life. The extender has helped improve wifi service as my router is in an upstairs back bedroom and the computer is downstairs at the other end of the house. I'm very happy with the performance and is exactly what was needed.
