This item enabled me to connect an older computer, that previously needed to be connected to the internet with an ethernet cable, wirelessly. Super easy to use. All you need is an available USB port. I am now able to email docs and photos to my new laptop. Great tool!

My situation for getting this product is a little different than others. My Surface Book 2, when I close the lid and use it as a desktop PC, the internet is nonexistent so I decided to use an old Netgear USB mini and it did the job, but it was an old product and it was giving me trouble. I was skeptical about this product at first because I've read some bad reviews regarding its bad connection with Windows 10. I just plugged it, installed the driver directly from the Netgear website (no use for the cd on my case) and I immediately got internet access on a recently updated Windows 10 [version 1903] laptop. This update was approximately 6 days ago. The internet bars are full and to make a very specific test, I went to the Funimation website and selected a movie (that they stream) and played a 1080p movie (that before it looked more like 720p, and was ALWAYS buffering). The movie started perfectly! No hiccups, no loading time, no low bandwidth and no crazy buffering! I even went back and forth on scenes and again, no low bandwidth. The USB itself looks sturdy and the WPS button on the side is easy to push (you can hear a click). Unlike the older model, its a tad bigger (pic added) but for me, that's not a critical issue. Overall, a good product and Wi-Fi problem solved in minutes.

I plugged it in and the drivers installed automatically. I am using it on an older HP desktop that is about 5 years old. It seems just as fast as when using the RJ 45 cable. The computer streams music, movies, etc. nice and fast. Not a bad price too.

This little USB WiFi adapter is very small, but its signal reception is very good. I get very good signals even few rooms away from my WiFi router. Setup is a piece of cake too. I have been used this on my laptop computer (my built-in WiFi adapter not function anymore after a recent Windows 10 update) for few months, I am very satisfied with its performance.

My son uses this adapter for his CyperPower pc which doesn’t have built-in WiFi. Works much better than the TP-Link adapter that was included with the purchase. We had issues with the TP-Link, so we bought another (which also had connectivity issues). We decided to choose a different brand this time... no issues with this one...

Small and inconspicuous, this Mini Adapter changed the WiFi on my PC from 2.4 to 5.0G. The difference? Ookla Speed Test went from 39Mbps at 2.4 to 158-164Mbps at 5.0. Amazing device for very little money and it saves one more time than you can imagine.

This USB Mini Adapter was really cheap (under $25) and it provides a decent signal and speed to my computer that didn't have a WiFi Network Card installed in it when I bought it. So in other words, Works Great!!!

This Netgear mini WiFi adapter solved a big problem for me when the built-in WiFi on my huge, heavy desktop computer just died. Having to cart that behemoth back to the place where it was built is like moving a piano. There had to be an easier solution. Yes indeed there was. Why not get a USB mini WiFi adapter that I can plug in and install? Netgear to the rescue. I disabled the old WiFi adapter in the desktop computer's device manager, then installed this little gem. It was quick and easy and best of all, it WORKS GREAT! I can't say enough about how much I appreciate how easy it was to restore the WiFi on my oversized desktop computer. Thank you, Netgear!

I use this item for my desktop PC. As it is impractical to run an Ethernet cable from the PC's location to the router, I went this route and got this item. It works ok. My speed is slow, but considering the environment the product is in, I am not docking it for the performance. One reason I am giving it a high rating is that it is compatible with N networks, which is what I have. This is a product designed for AC networks, but it is backwards compatible with N networks as well. That was the selling point for me. There are also a few walls and obstacles between the adapter and the router, so I am not too surprised at the slow PC Internet performance. All in all, I recommend this product. The installation is quite easy to follow (make sure you follow it! Taking a shortcut will be trouble), and I expect that the performance will be top notch if the product is used to its full potential.

Did your WiFi adapter lose it's magic smoke? This little gem by Netgear does a great job, is reasonably priced, and simple to install. It's small enough that you can leave it in the USB slot of your notebook all the time.

I have a laptop that couldn't pick up the 5 WiFi because of how old it was. I researched for a long time trying to see if I could bypass its limited frequency pickup to get a better connection and I came up with reviews about this item. Many people were using it to allow wireless internet access to computers that didn't have it built in or something. Long story short, I easily installed this item into the laptop (this product comes with a CD install BUT it does offer a way to install in case your laptop doesn't come with a CD Drive) and now I can use both the 2.4 & 5 WiFi. I definitely recommend this item.

The WiFi USB adapter is great! When I lost the WiFi in my laptop I thought I was going to have to buy a new laptop that I could not afford. I was very appreciative of the store associate who suggested we try this adapter! It works great! It’s easy to install and use!
