Q: Do I need a modem with this?
A: Yes you do. This is a WiFi router not a modem
A: It will not work with the other Orbi routers or satellites.
Q: Can i buy this and just plug it into my centurylink modem and be good?
A: I don't think so. It will have to communicate with the modem.
Q: What satellites can I get to extend my wifi signal with this?
A: I don't know for sure other answers will be more helpful. One comment I will make is that I am pretty sure another router can be used as a satellite. If you need that and get another router on sale for virtually the same price as a satellite Would seem the way to go.

A: It works with any internet provider

A: I believe you can if its the same router.
