I had installed for a friend on a small ranch a Orbi system to cover the main home and the mother-in-law home over 100' from the main house a few months back. It worked well in getting coverage throughout both homes. I had also installed some Ring cameras in the nearby barn for the owner to look in on her three horses, but it was marginal with the Orbi's in the homes being so far away. I installed this outdoor extender in the metal barn 120' feet from one home and 200' from the other. She now has great coverage and speed through the barn on the Ring cameras which there is now three looking into the stalls for each horse. She is loving it.

My existing Orbi wifi was great in my house, but I have added wifi-enabled devices in my backyard...Enter the Orbi Outdoor AC3000. The whole process was simple and it has added very useful wifi to my mesh system that now extends well into my backyard. I am so pleased with the results. My Ring cameras and wifi enabled switches and outlets now have strong wifi that I can count upon.

We added this to our existing Orbi mesh system and we could not be happier. It not only strengthens the existing Orbi mesh system, but it made our reception range outside of our home incredible. And we are able to carry a strong signal up to 50-75 yards from the house on Wifi devices And it is outdoor suitable for mounting. In fact, we mounted ours into the ceiling of the back porch. This is a must have addition to your Orbi mesh Wifi system!

Buyer beware. Despite the box stating that this “works with your existing WiFi,” it does not work at all with Orbi WiFi 6. Confirmed by Netgear, but won’t refund. Apparently on a different band. Netgear says firmware update in the future, but who knows when

I went through a TON of other products (Nighthawk, Eero, CC Vector, etc...) before this one finally solved my problem of getting a signal across 400ft of a Marina. This has a bit of a drop over the distance, but it still pumps out between 30-50 down. This works well enough to play Rocket League with no issue. It’s a great solution for a long distance and inclement weather.

Bought it to extend my existing Orbi network. Setup was easy and coverage is huge. A little expensive but worth it. Price is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars

This is very easy to setup and extends very quickly off of the existing Orbi system. Pretty happy how it extended the signal on my outside cameras. Only downfall is the price.

We wanted to be able to reach our Wi-Fi when on the dock and even when fishing on the lake in front of our house. It works! Three bars quite consistently. Heavy vegetation can cause a problem at times. One other comment, with a mesh system, expand the system one piece at a time. You may find that you do not need as many extensions as you think. The central unit is quite powerful. You can watch via the Orbi app which unit/satellite your device is tied to. At times it ignores an extension and stays on the central hub. We can stream music off of Sirius from anywhere on our property to out on the lake. Have not tried much video at a distance as yet. U-Tube videos are clean when tried.

Prior to purchasing this Orbi outdoor satellite I was using the Orbi Whole Home WiFi system for my house and it works great. However, the signal on the far side of my garage was a little weak. The Orbi outdoor satellite solved that issue with no problems. In fact it extended my WiFi at least 30 ft beyond the front of my house. Works like a champ and I love the light feature that comes with this satellite. You can set up a schedule to turn on your lights or turn them on manually. Great product and I highly recommend it.

This is the second outdoor Ordi WiFi extender I purchased. The first one was purchased several years ago and it is functioning beautifully extending my wifi for 300 ft. in my yard. I needed a second one for my back yard. These extend my Orbi Wifi system which has been working great for several years. I now have a more reliable Wifi in my house and around my property. I contacted the Netgear technical assistance several years ago and they were helpful.

This is a great outdoor Wi-Fi extender. I would have given it 5 stars except the setup process was difficult for no reason. Netgear really needs to work on it's set up process. It even includes a link that doesn't work. However if you can get it to set up, the Wi-Fi coverage outside is great.

Extender works good in my situation where I’m dealing with very thick concrete walls in the basement of the house. The item is pricey for being only an additional satellite to the existing mesh system.

I mounted this Orbi Outdoor wifi mesh access point on a tall post in a daisy chain to cover the further reaches of my farm. Attached the mounting bracket to a piece of wood, brought some power up on the outside of 1/2" EMT (3/4" might have worked to bring the power up through the EMT, but would have been tight given the DC power plug's design...would have been better to do so with 1" EMT in my opinion), attached the wood to the EMT, linked the access point to the mesh (takes about 10 minutes for some reason...I suspect it was trying to link to other more distant AP's until it settled on the one I wanted), and it was up and running. Works as advertised.

i have a barn about 250 feet from my house wifi where i create music. i tried just about everything and pretty much gave up. then i found Orbi. easy to install, sync up, and is amazing.....i actually get higher speeds in the barn than in the house now.....not sure how that voodoo works, but the Orbi is awesome.

I purchased this to increase my signal strength to my outdoor cameras and also to help when I sit in the backyard. This device was easy to set up and also very easy to mount. I now have really no dead spots in my backyard. The unit is a little pricey but worth the money in my opinion.

We purchased this to boost our WiFi outdoors to help with security cameras and music streaming while mowing the grass. I’d say it definitely exceeded our expectations. The signal strength is great and setup was a breeze. I love that it has a locking bracket to keep it safe too! Would definitely recommend.

If you have an Orbi system already, this just plugs in and extends your wifi. My backyard had no wifi coverage and with the extender, I now get over 180 mb speed in the farthest corner.

I needed this to get WiFi from the house to the barn , which is 150 feet away. It works fine and the signal is good in the barn now.

I have this in my Garage where I work sometimes. Previous to this I had very poor signal and now it’s like I’m in the same room as the router. Great product! It is a little expensive.

We have 2 houses 250 ft apart. With this product we now have great wireless service in both houses as well as the yard and pool. Expensive but worth it.
