A: Pete, there are many variables that influence the range of the ORBI outdoor satellite. Distance from the other components of the wireless network is one. Home construction: # of walls and materials. Input speed to your router. Competition (traffic & interference) on the different channels. We have approximately 300 - 350 mbps to the router. Using the outdoor satellite just outside of our house,linked to 2 other satellites and a router in our house, we get between 5 - 15 mbps at the end of our pool 60 feet from our house. 15 is good enough to stream video. FWIW we have an RBR50. Hope this helps!
Q: Is this Outdoor AC3000 compatible with the Netgear WIFI 6 AC 6000 system?
A: It should work with Nighthawk and other WiFi 6 systems in extender mode. It just won’t work with Orbi WiFi 6 systems. I use it in extender Mode outside of my Orbi WiFi 6 system on a separate network not used by the Orbi WiFi 6 system and it works great.
