Originally intended for in 1984, the New York-based indie tag Brain Eater Records folded just before the album's , leaving shrink-wrapped copies stranded in boxes and never shipped to stores. After turning down a modest major tag offer from Columbia Records in early 1983, the group doubled down on their vision. Trading in the power-pop of early single InchDie TryingInch and the polished new wave aesthetic of the previous 's InchThey Walk Among You,Inch the band pursued something more introspective and surreal. New Math - They Walk Among You - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

THE GOTH-TINGED, PSYCHEDELIC, NEW WAVE INDIE CULT CLASSIC IS BACK FROM THE DEAD! The Rochester, NY band's 1981 debut EP has been newly remastered & is now expanded to include six bonus tracks three studio outtakes & three tracks recorded live at Rochester's Scorgies in 1983. The original EP came out on Howie Klien's 415 Records (Romeo Void, Red Rockers, Translator, Wire Train) -distributed by Columbia. The original 5-song EP has long been out of print. The newly remastered EP tracks sit sonically alongside the outtakes and live cuts to flesh out this indie classic. To celebrate the 2023 compilation InchDie Trying & Other Hot SoundsInch, New Math reformed & spent most of last year playing shows around the Upstate New York area. Feeling rejuvenated, the band decided to record some of their original repertoire that had not yet been captured in the studio and was previously lost to time.

The Defects - Modern Error - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Defects aren't here to mess around or waste time. On their storming, forthcoming debut album, 'Modern Error', they are the sound of a band energized by the thrill of running headlong toward their goal. InchOur whole idea with this is if we're going to do this, then we're going to f*king do it,Inch says drummer Harry Jennings. InchJust really go for it, leave no stone unturned, and just headbutt into it, man. We're taking no prisoners.Inch 'Modern Error' is, indeed, a record that smashes. With the heaviness and aggression of Lamb Of God and Machine Head, a Linkin Park-like sense of melody, and a touch of Bring Me The Horizon's fearlessness in bringing in electronic elements and whatever else is needed to make a song truly explode, it's an album that explodes with heavy energy, crafted by experts.
