Q: I get confused with how to identify fx vs dx lenses. So is this lens compatible with all full frame cameras? Will it work on the d850?

A: All Nikon lenses that are made for the DX crop format cameras will specifically have DX in the name of the lens. If they do not say DX in the name it means it is an FX or Full Frame lens. This AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR is optimized for FX or Full Frame cameras, as there is no DX in the name of the lens. This will be compatible will the Nikon D850 Digital SLR camera.

Q: Is this lense compatable with my Nikon D90?

A: No. The Nikon D90 DSLR camera is not compatible with Nikon AF-P type lenses, like the AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR Telephoto Zoom lens listed here. For fully compatible lenses look into an AF-S type lens like the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR Telephoto Zoom. To learn more about lens compatibility please contact Nikon Support.

Q: Is this lens compatible with Nikon D3300?

A: Yes, it is compatible with Nikon D3300.

Q: Will this lens work with nikon D7000?

A: No, the AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR Telephoto Zoom Lens will not be compatible on the D7000. While this lens may fit, it will not have the ability to be recognized or be able to auto-focus due to this lens being an AF-P lens. AF-P lenses use a new type of focus system that the D7000 does not communicate with. The D7000 is compatible with AF and AF-S type lenses.

Q: Why does this cost so much more than the kit lense that came with my d3400? If i used this on my Nikon z6 could i use fx mode or would it autocrop to dx mode? Does it cover my whole full frame sensor?

A: This AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR Lens is the Full Frame version of the kit lens so it will use the FX Mode on the Nikon Z6. Also unlike the kit lens, this lens will include Vibration Reduction as well as offer an extra stop of aperture.

Q: Will this fit my Nikon D3300?

A: Yes. The Nikon AF-P 70-300 4.5-5.6E ED VR lens will fit and will work with your Nikon D3300 and have no limitations with this DSLR camera model. Using the Nikon AF-P 70-300 4.5-5.6E ED VR, which is an FX lens, with the D3300 DX-format DSLR camera will introduce a 1.5 crop factor, giving you a maximum angle of view of 22°50' and a minimum angle of view of 5°20'. To learn more about 1.5 crop factor please contact Nikon Support.

Q: will this work on my D750

A: Yes, the AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR Lens (#20068) is compatible with the D750. The D750 should be running the most recent firmware version for full compatibility. Firmware, along with updating instructions, can be found on the Nikon Download Center: http://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/products/175/D750.html .

Q: Is this lens compatible with the D3500?

A: The Nikone D3500 supports AFP lenses, and since this lens is an AFP lens it should work fine. However just to be safe I would check the Nikon site and make sure you have the latest firmware update.
