This is an excellent camera for those like me who wanted more professional options and ability then i was getting with the entry-level consumer DSLR. Very little to not like. I wish it had illuminated buttons on back. I wish it offered a larger number of focus points and crosstype focus points. Maybe even a little bit higher resolution, say around 35 megapixels would have been nice. But overall, I really am liking it.

Nikon D780 is a professional series camera that has taken great photos and the prices is fair for the great quality of camera you purchased.

I love this camera! I’m still learning how to use it but the layout is similar to my D3500, just with so much more!

I am a professional photographer , I have been doing photography for nearly 40 yrs , first picked up a camera for a college class in 1982 and never looked back .. I am not brand loyal kinda guy , just a believer in best bang for my buck .. Brings us to The D780 , and this is just that , a great value for the money , it allows you great versatility all while delivering outstanding results straight out of the camera . As well as images that you can run through Capture one or whatever program you like to achieve a desired effect ..I Highly recommend this camera for the intermediate person looking to grow their image making or a pro looking for an all purpose camera that can do a bit of everything for $$$ ..

This is a perfect camera for a guy such as I, who has had both film and digital nikon cameras for several decades. It supports all of the F mount lenses, with or without built-in focusing motors, The controls are all in the familiar locations as they have been over the years. I just wish that they had included the built in pop-up flash for those occasions when you are traveling light and /or casually. It could also have had the option of an optional vertical grip/battery packi but they didn't offer it for this one... oh well.

This camera is always sold out, and I was lucky enough to find one that was open box. The Best Buy associate that helped me with the purchase was knowledgeable and very nice! The camera is amazing! Full frame hybrid dslr with awesome still and great video capabilities, in a smaller and lighter body then other mirrored cameras out there. I couldn’t be happier!

The camera is my latest in my Nikon collection. D70 (given away to an uncle), D200 (still in use and a great camera), D610 my first full frame and makes wonderful photos, and now the D780 that promises better everything from the D610. So far it is living up to the specs. It focuses far faster in all light, and in particular low light, has greatly reduced noise, and the controls may be a bit easier to get to. The ability to use via the back screen vs the optical finder seems will be welcome when used on a tripod - so far only played with a bit. I did get an ebook from byThom to help me learn the setup and controls and highly recommend one for any of the cameras for which he has produced these tomes. All of my lenses work with it, images are sharp, and I will likely not miss having a built in flash. Missing a grip a tiny bit, but I'll get over it.

Replacing my D750 with this, its a bit smaller and doesn't have a grip but its overall a really nice camera. Fast for shooting sports, and great in low light - much better than the D750

Its specs are great and it loves up to those. The only concern was not having a built-in flash, but the low-light/high-ISO performance is phenomenal and with a fast lens the flash is completely unnecessary (not to mention eliminating the unnatural hard shadows the built-ins give). If you really need a flash, the very small SB-400 fits in the hot shoe and works way better than a built-in. The tilt-screen is surprisingly useful as well. Great camera. It's costly, but given how long you might use it--perhaps a decade--it's worth it.

Beautiful camera and handles many situations. Everyone is saying to go mirrorless, which I will eventually, but this is a great camera!

Absolute game changer! If you haven’t made the switch from a crop sensor to a full frame, you are missing out! This camera is able to capture great quality even in low light conditions. Absolutely love it!
