The 2M Black Series is the MM flagship from OrtofonThe 2M Black is graced with a Shibata diamond stylus – the same diamond as on the acclaimed MC Jubilee. Its slim highly polished profile allows an exceedingly wide contact area to the groove walls and ensures notably detailed reproduction throughout the spectrum including even the most high frequency groove information.The cartridge body used for the 2M Black is manufactured from a newly-developed Lexan DMX Piano Black a revolutionary material which ensures high rigidity while eliminating unwanted resonances.The 2M Black uses a special upgraded engine featuring split pole pins with a silver plated copper wire.We have optimized the design for ease of mounting the cartridge and the weight and size to fit the most common turntables on the market today. The 0.6 mil conical stylus ensures proper contact with the record groove even when the cartridge is not quite level. The elliptical diamond design follows record grooves precisely to reduce distortion and improve response from the VM95 series. This Audio-Technica elliptical replacement stylus can be used to replace worn styluses and keep dual moving motor cartridges running flawlessly.
This VM95 Series cartridge with 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical nude stylus fits half-inch mount turntables. The cartridge offers excellent channel separation and low distortion for outstanding tonal quality. The durable, low-resonance housing includes threaded inserts that enable the cartridge to be mounted to the headshell with just two screws – no nuts required. And since all VM95 Series share the same body, the stylus can be replaced with any of the six interchangeable AT-VMN95 replacement styli. VM95 Series dual magnet cartridge with 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical nude stylus. Aluminum cantilever. Durable low-resonance polymer housing. Threaded inserts in cartridge body enable cartridge to be mounted to headshell with just two screws – no nuts required. Compatible with any AT-VMN95 replacement stylus.
