    Is what it says it is

    Nice Design - bright, clear light. I returned it because I was looking for the benefit of light therapy but did not realize the light had to be directed onto your skin. Mistake on my part.

  • How well would this work as a fill light for video conferencing? I'm attracted to the fact that it's close to daylight.

  • Do these things really work? What’s the science behind it? Have there been any trials to see if it actually works? SAD is very real.

    Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, Ottlite's LED Therapy lamp is the ONLY lamp that is producing 10,000 lux in order to elevate SAD. Even though Ottlite does not make any claim to elevate SAD with any of Ottlite's other lamps, there have been many customers over the years that swear by it. When it comes to SAD best to consult with your physician. Ottlite is recommended by the low vision doctor association across the USA.   • What percentage of the UV spectrum is filtered out? Conversely, what exposure to UV does this lamp emit in an hour?

    Thanks for your inquiry. Ottlite lamps/fixtures do not filter out any UV being emitted. When/if LED lamps emit any/all UV it is less than any other type of lamp, because if/when there is a small amount of UV produced it is converted to white light by phosphors contain inside the lamp/LEDs.
