A: You get the membership for the first month for free just for buying the ring. If you choose not to renew you only are able to access sleep, readiness, and activity scores. You won’t get access to the symptom radar, stress insights or other features. I’m not even sure if without the membership if you can access the details of your sleep or it’s just a score. Q: Does the black get scuffed or scratched easily?
A: I have the 3 in black have not had it a year and it is all scratched up. It looks horrible. I hope the 4 is made better

A: The website says that it can be worn on any finger but for the most accurate data, wear it on your pointer, middle, or ring finger of either hand.

A: I read one review - can't remember where now, maybe thewirecutter.com - that said it hurt the reviewer's hand to wear while lifting, but was recommended otherwise. Regarding scratch protection, there are a ton of silicon covers available from third parties.
A: I got the protection because it covers everything except fire and theft I believe. Yeah the coverage was expensive but the ring itself was way way more. If the battery quits on me for whatever reason I would want a replacement
