We'll deliver, install and make sure your new over-the-range microwave is working. We'll connect it to an existing 110V electrical outlet. Additional charges may apply if not up to local code requirements.
- Before we begin: To prepare for installation, clear a path from the street to the kitchen wide enough to accommodate the over-the-range microwave. Make sure someone 18 or older is present at the appointment time.
- Disconnect the existing microwave: We'll unplug the unit from the electrical outlet and disconnect it from ductwork and cabinetry.
- Connect the new microwave: We’ll use the manufacturer-supplied hardware to mount the microwave. Then, we’ll connect it to your existing utilities.
- Final steps: We’ll clean up and recycle all packaging and make sure your new microwave is functioning properly. Finally, we’ll answer any questions you may have and let you know how to contact us for future support.
- Purchase haul-away services for an additional fee: When you purchase a qualifying over-the-range microwave from Best Buy, we’ll haul away and recycle or relocate your old one for you (not included).
- Potential Additional charges: Additional charges may apply for permits required by your municipality, cabinet or counter modifications, and utilities like valves or outlets which are non-functional or not-up-to code. Relocation does not include reconnection.

A: Yes if you don’t have an electrical outlet above inside your cabinet. We hired Best Buy to do the outlet and install the microwave . It was $199 but if you have total tech support you will get 20 percent off

Q: Do I need to remove my existing cabinet? Or will the technician do that?
A: I did not need to do anything with my cabinet. I purchased the low-profile microwave that fits within the space of the old vent hood. Technicians removed the hood and installed the microwave in its place.
