Mute welcomes German synthesizer and producer duo Felsmann + Tiley to the roster with the of their new album Protomensch. Out February 13, 2026 on limited edition black vinyl packaged in a special gatefold sleeve featuring a mirror foil lamination on the inner panel revealing a 'self-portrait of the protomensch.' On Protomensch (German for Inchproto-humanInch), Felsmann + Tiley blend shimmering synthwave, pounding trance, and introspective IDM with synth-pop-infused tracks featuring guest vocalists including London's Pet Deaths and Australian artists The Kite String Tangle, Woodes, and Laius. This juxtaposition between sentient beings and machines permeates the whole album - right from the duo's manifesto introducing us the highly intelligent yet irrevocably shortsighted and downright tragic character of Protomensch - the cover artwork featuring turtleneck wearing chimpanzee, futuristic music videos, and stark social media aesthetics to seated, next-level live-shows involving collaboration with dozens of visual artists. Despite their online ubiquity, sparked in part by their viral reinterpretation of tag-mate M83's InchSolitude, Inch which has been used over 1 million times on TikTok and high-profile syncs on shows including Young Royals (season two), the BAFTA-winning crime thriller Top Boy (season three), and Amazon's The Better Sister, Felsmann + Tiley have lingered largely on the periphery, their origins cloaked in quiet anonymity, until now. With the of Protomensch, Felsmann + Tiley present their fully realized artistic vision and step into the spotlight. Limited Edition Black Vinyl.
![Boston Symphony Orchestra - The Complete RCA Victor Recordings - William Steinberg & Boston Symphony - COMPACT DISCS [CD]](https://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/BestBuy_US/images/products/218724eb-b977-469f-bd7c-90e2f8221857.jpg;maxHeight=422;maxWidth=264?format=webp)
When William Steinberg was appointed music director of the Boston Symphony in 1969 as successor to Erich Leinsdorf, he attained the pinnacle of his career. No previous conductor had headed two top-ten US orchestras simultaneously. It was a condition of his Boston position that he could continue to work in Pittsburgh with the orchestra that he had headed since 1952. Born as Hans Wilhelm Steinberg in Cologne on 1 August 1899, he studied at the local conservatory with the conductor Hermann Abendroth and the pianist Lazzaro Uzielli, a Clara Schumann pupil. On graduating in 1920 he became Otto Klemperer's assistant at the Cologne opera house. In 1929 he was appointed music director in Frankfurt. Relieved of his post by the Nazis in 1933, he conducted concerts in Frankfurt and Berlin under the auspices of the Jewish Cultural League before emigrating to Palestine in 1936 to take over the Palestine Orchestra (now Israel Philharmonic Orchestra). At Toscanini's invitation he went to the United States in 1938 to assist in forming and training the new NBC Symphony Orchestra. In 1945 he assumed the music directorship of the Buffalo Philharmonic, where he liked to refer to himself as InchBuffalo BillInch. The Steinberg/Boston collaboration with RCA was unfortunately ill-fated and short-lived. Not because of the repertoire, but plummeting sales and spiraling costs plaguing the American recording industry in general persuaded RCA to let it's contract with the Boston Symphony lapse after 52 years' association. Gramophone magazine's Peter Quantrill claimed in 2018 that Steinberg was Inchthe most under-recorded of great conductors in the second half of the last century.Inch In 2004 the critic Richard Freed wrote of the Schubert Ninth (CD 1) and Bruckner Sixth (CD 2) Symphonies InchBoth [are] vital and inspiring performances, free of the monumentalizing all too often inflicted on such m

Slow Pulp's remarkable full-length debut Moveys is a testament to hard-fought personal growth. In the process of making their new record, the Chicago-based indie rock band powered through health challenges, personal upheaval, and a pandemic, all while breaking old habits and learning how to be better songwriters and friends. Full of blistering energy and emotional catharsis, this compelling 10-track collection highlights the band's resourcefulness and resilience to come together even when they were states away. Slow Pulp's tough adaptability is something that has formed over time thanks to the unbreakable bond of lifelong friendship. Slow Pulp's roots can be traced back to elementary school, with Alexander Leeds (bass), Theodore Mathews (drums), and Henry Stoehr (guitar) performing in bands together since the sixth grade while growing up in Madison, Wisconsin. Emily Massey (vocals/guitar) was later invited to join their new project, Slow Pulp, in 2017. InchI can't describe a level of closeness with other people like we have. Having lived together, toured together, worked together, and written together, we learned so much about each other so quickly,Inch says Massey.Slow Pulp first started working on new songs in the Spring of 2019, immediately after the of their EP, Big Day, but they ended up scrapping the material. InchWhen we started writing this record, I had been experiencing so much fatigue and getting sick a lot and I didn't know what it was. I got diagnosed with Lyme disease and a chronic Mono,Inch says Massey. She adds, InchThe diagnosis validated a lot of what I was feeling. I got tools for how to take care of myself better.Inch For Massey, taking care of herself meant more than just addressing her physical needs. InchThe way that I internalize trauma is I will hold it in and not process it for a very long time, but writing songs is the one place where I ca
