This thing works as described & my chimes did not change like in my old car. I am a very happy camper. I am very picky & meticulous when it comes to my cars. Thanks Best Buy! A+++

I’ve owned a Tahoe for years and have gone through four PAC interface units during that time. Unfortunately, I experienced repeated hardware failures: • Unit #1 would reboot every time I hit a bump. I confirmed the issue by lightly tapping the module and watching it restart. • Unit #2 lost backup camera functionality. • Unit #3 had incorrect internal switch wiring and steering wheel controls never worked properly. • Unit #4 eventually failed completely. Installation was done carefully (1st time by Best Buy) and wiring was verified multiple times. These were not loose connections, the modules themselves were failing. When they worked, they worked. But based on long-term reliability, I can’t recommend this product.

Recently upgraded my vehicle's audio system with the PAC Radio Replacement and Steering Wheel Control Interface, specifically designed for select GM vehicles, and I am thoroughly impressed. The installation process was straightforward, thanks to the clear instructions provided. What stands out is the seamless integration of this interface with my vehicle's existing features, including the invaluable OnStar system, which was retained perfectly. The ability to keep using my steering wheel controls without any hitches has made my driving experience both safer and more enjoyable. The product's build quality is top-notch, ensuring that it not only functions excellently but also blends in beautifully with my car's interior. It's a rare find to have such a reliable device that enhances functionality without compromising on the vehicle's original features. Highly recommend to any GM vehicle owner looking to upgrade their audio system without losing key features like OnStar and steering wheel controls. Five stars for sure!

I had reservations about this choice for my infotainment setup. Decision was made to keep OnStar even though we don't pay the subscription to use that GM product. Maestro was the other choice that would disconnect OnStar (and Maestro looks good with some extra features). The PAC harness needs tweaking after using it for the first time. The adjustments might be found in the PAC or in your Radio Settings-- so there is a discovery process. The steering wheel buttons all have functions. The phone operation is different. With wireless connectivity the bluetooth is dedicated to your Android phone to the Infotainment and not from any phone to OnStar. Thus, if I use voice commands the phone works. If I try to initiate a call using steering wheel Phone button the OnStar telephony does not work. There is also the option to attach my SmartPhone to the Infotainment with a USB cord and maybe that configures OnStar to work as originally designed. I have not tried a tethered setup. One thought on OnStar. Should the situation arise to remotely kill or throttle your GM vehicle then the police would need OnStar.

Told by Geek Squad installation tech that this was needed to keep the door chimes as well as steering wheel controls with my new stereo. I stream music and talk/text from my phone via Bluetooth on my daily commute, so this was a necessity. Not only can I use the volume buttons on my steering wheel, the buttons to advance to the next song/previous song as well as answer/end phone calls work.

I purchased this PAC interface to install an Android radio into my 2013 Sierra. Fairly simple to hook up and keeps steering wheel controls and beeps and dings if you want them. Would purchase again.

Overall, it worked great and as expected. Saved me the hassle of buying each component separately but didn't really save on the price of buying each component separately. The fact that I walked in the store, picked up the interface and installed it the same day made the price a little more bearable. I installed this in my wife's 2010 Buick Enclave CXL and it was a little tight behind the stereo due to the size of the various parts of the interface. Only complaint is that it did not come with the antenna adapter (unless someone removed it from the kit) and the included adapter for overhead monitor doesn't work (admittedly, that could be an install error). I'm satisfied and would recommend to anyone looking for quick and easy.

I needed this to install a JVC double din stereo unit in my Silverado truck. Otherwise, the system would not work. I strongly suggest buying this if you are a Silverado truck owner who is thinking about installing a new deck. After connecting the wires to the original stereo harness, it is just plug n play after that. I strongly recommend!

I had the RP5-GM11 in my 2004 Silverado with Bose and it worked great. When I traded that truck in, I planned to move that stereo into the new truck but I needed a new harness. This RP5-GM31 is the correct model for my new truck, and works just as well as the previous model that I had. It retains the factory Bose, OnStar, XM, and all the chimes. Super easy to wire to the aftermarket harness. The chime even goes through the factory speakers as it did before, no need for the chime box that is included. (Other vehicles may still require that box!) The Owasso, OK store was great! They helped me out and made the transaction easy!

I’m so happy with this device. Being able to receive and send hands free spoken calls and texts is very helpful. My car is a 2009 Chevy impala and the upgrade works very well.

upgrading your head unit this is a must have to keep factory equipment working properly. Steering wheel controls backup sensors. The directions that came with it were pretty straightforward and simple it literally took me 15 minutes to wire everything up and install in the vehicle with my new pioneer head unit

Came with everything I needed and also worked as advertised! I liked how the wires were titled which wire they were which made wiring it up to another pigtail easy.
